Because i believe in jesus i just want a church where i can sing in the choir. I dont want to just sit and listen to sermons. Is there a church like that?

My question is:..... based on your knowledge of the (Bible)... How many people here have prayed recently for an answer to prayer. Did you receive that answer to prayer? Even if it wasn't what you liked?
If not, do you only pray when you want something or do you have a daily relationship with God?
(Think about that daily relationship. How would you respond to someone if they only came to you when they wanted something. Would you be willing to help a person who only came to you when they wanted something, or would you be willing to help the person who has a relationship with you?)

In our public schools, we dont mix religion at all! Mainly because there are many religions here that are celebrated. Yet, our government has chosen a single religion for the whole nation?.
Is that right?. The saying in God we Trust was just added in 1957.

Mine would have to be the ability to fly!!
That would b amazing to fly all over the place like a bird.
See the world from a bird eyes view. It would be such an adrenaline rush, and conveninet when u were late too. Avoid traffic jams!!

Well some of you are plenty uptight about farting, it obvious that some of you have been saving them since you were taught that to some people don't think its a very nice thing to do.
Saving your poop gas only makes you more cranky, coz they fester and fester and ferment till they get really over-ripe.

But to those of you who do let one go from time to time, just to let off some of that annoying pressure. Ought to know better about where is not a good place, like I know it isn't good to let one go in an elevator,... But the other day, I was in a 5 person line at the market and let a long rank one lose - fortunately the line suddenly shortened by three people with carts full of stuff. Thank god or thank goodness I had one in oven - eh?
Although the cashier couldn't stop giggling, which only slowed the line a little.

But there are places that it's just not cool to let one go, where else would those places be, any suggestions?

I think both Aethists and Christians are equally closed minded when it comes to religion or lack of it.

You couldn't make me believe there is no God anymore than you can make an Atheist believe there is one.

Yet somehow we both hope to convince the other. For Christians, Our days on earth are like a shadow, without hope(1 Chronicles 29:15) but why do Aethists hope to change what is in a Christians heart?

Everyday there are people on here asking when the world is going to end.
"When is it going to end, how will it end, oh please, why won't it end already??"
Are you all suicidal or what? Stop worrying about when the world is going to end!
(I'll give you a hint it won't be until millions of years from now, long after the human race is extinct. Stop worrying about it. And even then, the universe will continue for long after the earth has been swallowed by the sun)

Are your lives so miserable and pathetic that you can't wait for it all to be over? And the fact that you want EVERYTHING to end is just like those suicidal people who have to take people with them when they kill themselves.
If you love your god so much, then shouldn't you love this world that you supposedly believe he created?
You must not love your god's creation if you are so anxious to see it destroyed.

I have a co-worker who is an avid fan of Star Wars. He has seen all of the movies and read all of the books many times. Recently, when just the two of us were talking - this man - let's call him Mr. Rogers hypothetically - sternly requested that I only refer to him as "DARTH Rogers."

What would you do in my shoes? I obviously don't want to hurt his feelings by calling him something he doesn't want to be called.
