People sometimes roll out the old chestnut which goes like this:

If there's a painting, there must be a painter.
If there's a creation, there must be a creator.

So far, so good. However, to prove that there is a creator it is necessary to prove that there is a creation, so let's hear the proof that the universe is a creation.

First person to respond with the usual "Look at the trees, look at the flowers" kind of answer gets instantly demoted to -1,000,000 Y!A points ;-)

She is aware that we have been looking. I let her know about a month ago. I have now offered the position to a new nanny and will need to let the current one go. Reasons for the firing, habitual tardiness that has affected ny husbands schedule to get to work on time. Incidents where she didn't listen to us (ie leaving our 2 year old alone in her car)........... Should I give her a weeks pay out of courtesy? My husband says no since the reasons are because of her actions. Your thoughts.

In John 13 he goes around washing his friends feet. Did he have a foot fetish? He then tells them they should wash each other's feet too. Was it some sort of foot orgy?

We live in a townhouse complex, we keep the bike on our back porch that is screened in, we went on vacation last week, we have one of those things that makes noises when you open the door, that was on the screen door and it was locked, my husband also had a lock around his bike that locks up the wheel (i really don't know what this stuff means he just tells me) but anyway we have a cover but he didn't put it on (dummie) somebody cut the screen unlocked the door and tried to cut through the lock which was unsuccessful thank God, he's going to put a padlock on the back screen door so nobody can just open the door and take the bike out, does anybody have any other suggestions? i mean its practically brand new, he got it last year and i do not want it to get stolen

Shouldn't we let others choose for themselves instead of trying to push our own religion. You can talk to you are blue in the face, but unless a person finds their own way aren't you forcing them to follow your path in life? Shouldn't let our fellow man choose there own destiny and be judged by whomever or live a cycle of unhappy Karma? Shouldn't we just let people be?

To make moral judgments means to make 'distinctions between right and wrong behaviour according to conscience'. Christians, however (and other believers), readily admit that the behaviour which they advocate for themselves and others is a matter of simply following their god's orders. This is not morality, by any definition, and the more closely someone follows what they perceive to be the orders of their deity, the more amoral they are. Fundamentalists - biblical literalists, whatever the appropriate name is - are the least moral people of all, since by their own admission they seek to follow rigidly the orders as they see them, and eliminate any input from their conscience at all.

So, can you be a moral person despite adhering to an amoral belief system such as Christianity or Islam? If so, how? Can you argue with your god and tell him he's wrong and you're right, if your conscience demands it? How would your god feel about that - would he respect your opinion?
