Unfortunately, there are thousands of KKK members still around. In fact, there's a group that meets about 15 miles from where I live. It's amazing that after all this time there are still people who are so ignorant.
If you feel like wasting your time reading about the idiots, check out this Web site:

If you ever see the symbol:
(usually) white background, red triangle with a red circle around it
commonly found as liquor store or dive bar symbols for their businesses.

Or hear the phrase "lone wolf" then be aware the Klan company you are keeping.

There are websites that recruit kids and many places around the world that still thrive under the Klan doctrine.

As the USA becomes even more brown (see Browning of America articles) it is predicted that there will be a surge of some sort from the KKK to make the push for the white population to "save" the culture of whiteness. lol

Unfortunately they are still around but many of the members don't admit publicly they are KKK members. They have actually set up different organization to push their message while hiding their identity. They still have the same beliefs based on ignorance and a closed mind.

Sadly they are not gone. There are quite a few sectors remaining, mostly on the east coast (ie PA, NC and SC) but there are a few larger sectors still going int GA and some of the surrounding states. They are not as active as they once were, mainly because they haven't had anything which they can hold legal precedence on to rally for or against. I thought for sure that they would rally against gay marriage, but much to my surprise they hardly lifted a finger. It is also important to remember that even though they are not in the picture much these days, they still have quite a bit of political clout in some circles.

Actually no they are still here but many have formed into White Supremacist. "White supremacy is a racist ideology which holds that the white race is superior to other races. White supremacy is most often thought of in connection with anti-black racism and anti-Semitism, though" They fancy Hitler and his doings. But some members of the KKK do exist today but it is a very small group, the white supremacist is very larger, but they still are a small group.

No the KKK is still very active...I live in northeast GA, and some friends and I were driving through the country down this dirt road and we actually came across a group of KKK complete in their robes with a burning cross....

We turned around and fled as fast as possible...I knew a kid in my school who's dad was the head of the KKK in our area.....so yes, they are still very active...

sorry to say but i think the kkk is still going strong. they arent as active as they once were, but in one of the smaller towns near where i live there had been a black man that had been severly beaten and then hung from a tree. the police decided it was a suicide. now does that sound like a suicide to yall? beaten and hung from a tree. it was really horrible. it was in all the local newspapers. well i think we have our dear old klan to thank for that. if it wasnt the klan then it was a group of people with the same wishes and intents as the klan.

Yes, but there are still heartless racists that act like members of the KKK.

As of 2005, there were an estimated 3,000 Klan members, divided among 158 chapters of a variety of splinter organizations, about two-thirds of which were in former Confederate states.

The real KKK disappeared a long time ago. Now people use that name to spread hate.
