i have a good friend who's surprise birthday party is today and i got her a really nice gift. not to sound cocky but it is a gift that i know will be a lot nicer than the other gifts that are going to be there. should i wait to give it to her in private? or should i just give it to her in front of everyone? i don't want to hurt anyone's feelings...

everytime i ask a question about christianity or catholicism not one person who is of either faith actually READS THE QUESTION. they post un-answers filled with a bunch on non-sensical accusations and insults like i'm the stupid one when they are the ones getting all wound up over a book they can't even agree on reading the same copy of. not to mention they can't confirm or validate the source or any of the authors. you are chasing myths like romans so blindly that it prevents you from thinking outside the box. when someone challenges your system with facts all you can think to do is challenge them radther than look at the facts and formulate a reasonable explaination for why it is the way it is. i don't care why you are a christian or catholic or why you believe what you believe but what i do care about is how it affects you reason and logic. so my question is why can't christians or catholics come up with a REAL answer for anything? it's funny because your probably wont have one now.

Do you think people would do the same thing they did 2000 years ago and kill the messenger and then change the message and put it down in writing? If Jesus told us all are saved, would we react egotistically and selfishly and respond with anger like the 'good' son in the Prodigal Son parable who didn't like the idea of Uncondtional Love and its all-inclusivity?

Yeah i'm gonna get a lot of "it's my body answers" whatever. Explain this to me, when is it a mans choice wether to bring a child into the world or not? It seems that when it comes to creating life and ruining a life, the woman holds all the cards. She can go to the clinic and get rid of the child, wether or not the man wanted the kid or not. If the man wants the kid, to raise, and support it, why is that not an option, why does the woman still have the right to just kill it? Oh, but when the man doesn't want the baby, it doesn't matter, now the woman can have the child and make him pay for it. So easy for woman to say i don't want it and get rid of it, but not easy to let a man say he doesn't want it.

How come some Christians interpret this literally and ignore the evidence of Evolution?

If Rev 7:1 and Rev 20:8 aren't supposed to be literal in saying the Earth has four corners, is it possible that Genesis 2:7 isn't supposed to be literal either?

Experience meaning a real, direct, mind-altering, beyond-belief, beyond-dualism experience of God. If someone has that experience of God and says that God is nothing like the ego-projected god in the bible, the Koran, etc., should we take notice? Or do we reject it, dismiss it, or 'kill the messenger' and change the message like we di with Jesus?

How ironic. I left the catholic church over 35 years ago, journeying seriously and found I was a Wiccan because of its values. Unfortunately, the Pagan community is overrun by bullies, christians, republicans and various kinds of idiots who do everything but revere Mother Earth and seek balance and harmony. My contention that peace and love is still a radical idea seems to ring true. In this world crime and violence and war are considered more normal than peace and love. I'd love however, to be shown wrong. Anyone else really interested in this? And I do mean real..not the plastic hypocricy of christians led like sheep who don't know how to use their own brains. But people who can think for themselves. Can you resist the mainstream culture of violence, bullying and really get into peace and love? I'd love to hear about it.

Leviticus chapter 13 says "if a man lies with a man as with a woman or a woman lies with a woman as with a man, its an abomination to God."

being Jewish was a big step for me to believe Moses "The life of the flesh is in the blood and its been given for an atonement for your souls" Isaiah showed how Jesus would complete it -and not make Moses and God liars-when our temple was destroyed-and Judaism either accepts the Messiah or rejects Judaism and Moses and Isaiah-chapter 52 vs 13-53 vs 12 "He will be exaulted, but first marred more than any man-and lay down his life as an atonement for sins"
i read Revelation 3 vs 19&20 that the Messiah Jesus knocks on our heart to come in deliver from sins and becomem our friend" so i prayed- "Im sorry for my sins, come into my heart, help me do better, be my friend, amen" and it worked and deamons or whatever couldnt get me to keep sinning and im happier than ever now- a true Jew with our Jewish messiah as promised-thank you and pray forMe2

Ok im a christian so i do believe in god. You know how it says in the bible if you understood who god was youd die.
I think i have a good idea who god is. You see. Everybody believes there is a higher being out there and god wants you to think thats true, but what if god has a father, imagine knowing that feeling. But then who would his father be. It would have to go on families by families, till you realize. Theres something wrong with this picture. You see, i came up with a theory where we actually live in a huge area where there is a dense amount of gravity near the sun. I believe that in 1000 years from now. when the moon finally escapes our gravitational pull, we will be drawn in closer to the sun, which i must add would increase the density which would rip a hole in time and space and lead us to heaven.
