Sorry dear but you should have read history properly.

Your heritage is loot and organised banditry of Indian subcontinent. Your Industrial revolution and riches financed by India under British Raj.

I spent one month in London and was surely surprised by seeing the same thing you are writing. Thought a lot and also discussed with many people there and also here in India. What seems to me is following may be some reasons -

1. Hard labor at cheaper cost

2. Most of the local people are like Robot. (no intention for insulting a Nation). They think very less and do not process information. As example, I asked about the petrol or Diesel cost in London to 7 engineers there. No one could answer although every one was using car. They answered that they pay for the fuel by company card so they do not know.

3. I have met many London people without much ambition.

4. Locals are not interested to do odd jobs.

5. I have met many Indians and Pakistanis but by birth they are British Citizen so they live there.

Once again I am saying this is only my observation in a small area for a small period of time. The actual scenario must be different. Immigration department is very strict there. The problem should be treated with some thing else. Again I am sorry if I have hurted any body's feelings.

Well yes, I think some of them probably do! The NHS, for example, would go under very quickly without immigrants prepared to work for lower wages than English doctors and nurses. You, on the other hand, aren't helping much with your racist comments.

Not a lot, as the vast majority of them have jobs, pay taxes and contribute to the economy.

A country doesn't have to be all one ethnicity. I really don't care, but we're not about to diminish a certain race just because there are too many of them, genocide is so bad. Execuse me. Your right, but no one can say a word or your being racist. There needs to be a ruling made on the number of them aloud, but having said that one of the reasons there are so many is that they will do things that we won't, the English will not work the hours they do for the money they get for one, there family's help them out more then English family's, and there are lots that work very hard, so if you took them all away, you would find that there would be less shops open all hours, because we wouldn't do it, it would not sort out the unemployment because we would not do the hours for the money, but we do need to rethink about the numbers there are here.

It's amazing how many of you are racist bigots, just by reading the answers above. You should be proud that London is such a cosmopolitan city not complaining. And why single out Pakistanis? what about the rest of the nations? I don't hear you complaining about Australians and there are loads of them in London in the summer. So yes, you are racists. Maybe if you weren't so lazy you'd stop complaining about them stealing jobs from you. Also, I think you'll find that most are second or third generation and as such are as British as you or I.

i do think we have a problem though, because the number of asylum seekers (not jus pakistanis or asians) entering this country is increasing all of the time, but industry in england is taking all of its jobs, closing down factories, moving call centres etc and moving them to india where the cost of running the business is a lot cheaper. I dont know why people cant see that if this trend continues we will have an overful country and no jobs for the people who have moved here.

Most governments are having a serious re look at their immigration policies. They are contemplating lot of changes. No politician or a functionary at the helm of affairs wants to admit the problem openly since we are democracies and need votes to win and return to power. Several European nations UK, Spain included are extremely concerned of Islamic fundamentalism especially after bombings in Madrid and London. The laws are being upgraded and made tougher. Also those who want to live in a Country and reap the social security benefits have to be loyal to the interests of that country and not become a fifth column or spies/adversaries within. Countries need to allow some level of immigration to meet the job requirements of its industry and similar functions. However they need to be extremely selective in choosing the nationalities of immigrants to keep a proper balance as also reduce the risks of home grown terrorism.
