Some Pentecostals believe a "Woman's hair is her glory" but others of the same religion believe it's fine.
Different churches believe different things.
Besides not cutting the hair, they also believe a woman can't wear pants, makeup, short skirts, sleeveless or short-sleeved blouses.
A woman in pants is believed to me wearing man's apparel which they believe is against the teachings of the Bible.

depends on religion's doctrinal belief in some the wife is to shave her head. One of my relatives never cut her hair in her life and that had nothing to do with religion.
In some religious sects the women,s hair is to be hidden (covered with an opaque material)
Many women are very exhosted by what mores tells them what to do.
