Why do certain people say these types of things...what kind of people are they?

"God is evil, because just cause I dont want to live for him, I get thrown to hell for it?"

"I wan't to live for myself, not live for someone else"

"There is no proof of God or Jesus!"

I want your advice on those comments...what type of people are they, and what can you give to say back to them?

"The Qur'an forbids a Muslim man to have sexual relations with a woman who is married to someone else, except for "those (captives) whom your right hands possess" (4:3). This is the Qur'anic term for a woman captured in warfare and kept as a slave. Thus there is nothing preventing a pious Muslim male from having a "sex slave."

the beleif that men are superior to women allows for spousal abuse and other things. why dont christians get it that God is angry at them? the heat wave that covers the south even hurricane katrina andrew and katy were all in the worst areas of the bible belt. I've been seeing posts about "fundamental atheism." How can there be such a thing. Atheism is not a religion, its a lack of religion. If there are no fundamentals how can there be fundamentalism?

How do you decide which part of the Bible to follow and when? (E.g. the contradiction between "turn the other cheek" and "eye for an eye")

I will be teaching a unit on the holocaust this year to high school sophomores and would like to share the idea that some people believe it was an elaborate hoax to show the extent to which people will engage in denial to protect a belief system. I think Malcolm X, was a vessel of the Christ. Just think about it, they both were killed by there own people, accepted by those that shouldnt accept them, as in romans accepted Jesus, and even those Malcolm called them demons, they love him. They both perdicted there own deaths. They both were killed based on politics of there religion. And although there teachings may seem different, they were really the same. Oh and they both called out the flaws of there religions, which led to there deaths

I am not gay, I have no problem with those who are and in fact, one of my best friends is gay. A lot (well not a lot – but a few) people have like picked on, and teased him because of that, but whenever I am around – I always stick up for him. It pisses me off how homophobic and mean people can be! But anyways, like a few days ago, he finally worked up the nerve to tell me he liked me, (I already had a hunch, and tried to hint that I wanted to keep things as plutonic as possible) but he told me anyways. He knows I am not gay, but said he had to get it off of his chest – but I think maybe he hopes I might turn gay or something… I do not know…

However, lately ever since then he has like been avoiding me. I feel bad because I hurt him, but I am not gay, and I do not want loose a 17-year friend over an awkward thing such as this. What should I do?

P.S. ~ I am serious here, serious answers only please. If you are going to give some asinine or immature answer – do not waste my time.
