No. And it was not a 'cross' that he died on. It was a "Stauros", which translated means pole or upright stake. No cross bar. If it had been a cross, then the word used should have been "crux". But it was not. That means that any church that has depicted Jesus dying with his arms straight out, are wrong. His arms were straight up above his head. And probably with just one nail for both hands. But it important that what is not overlooked, is WHY he died for us, not HOW.

It was made of wood. A carpenter made it. Imagine if Jesus was carrying a cross of gold while he made the journey. People will be volunteering to carry so they can scrap from it.

The Bible teaches that it was a tree, not in the shape of a cross, but rather, just in the shape of a pole. So it was made of wood and wasn't a cross.

Why would Jesus wear a cross? He was Jewish. Plus, the cross didn't become a religious symbol until after he was crucified.

The hypocritical just prefer it that way. A true Christian knows that.....
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

By the way... why do you keep answering your own questions?

It was made of wood, of course. Because it symbolizes our salvation through Christ, which is more precious than any earthly substance, we wear crosses of gold (if we can afford it), the most precious substance on earth.

What the...??? Where in God's name did you hear this from? I'm telling ya, the more I read these questions on this thing, the more I am scared for my life living in this world. The way people think, and what they believe, or what they hear and think is real.

God help us all, I am moving to Canada.

There you go asking another Jesus question. You are obsessed with Jesus. Ask Him into your heart. You can have a relationship with Him and He will forgive you and you won't have to keep digging a spiritual hole for yourself.
