Why do certain people say these types of things...what kind of people are they?

"God is evil, because just cause I dont want to live for him, I get thrown to hell for it?"

"I wan't to live for myself, not live for someone else"

"There is no proof of God or Jesus!"

I want your advice on those comments...what type of people are they, and what can you give to say back to them?

Again...THIS IS AN OPEN FORUM...to address questions to Believers than go find a site that caters to Believers ONLY...

To answer your query: They are people who are willing to QUESTION their faith in order to grow Spritually. The tone of your questions is defensive...They are people like you who are actually willing to be flexible in their beliefs and maybe change them over time. PEACE!

They are just lost. They don't know the truth. The first one isn't true. God is not evil. God is not putting anyone into hell.. they are putting themselves there. To deny the creator deserves no other discipline. What other discipline would be fit for denying your creator? Anything less and he wouldn't be God. People wouldn't fear him or his wrath. They wouldn't fear sinning, murdering, adultery, idolotry, cheating, lying, stealing... they wouldn't have anything to fear.. because there wouldn't be sufficient consequences to their actions. God wouldn't be God.

The second one is why most people don't want to serve God. Because they are selfish, self-centered.. and care only about themselves.

Proverbs 18:1 (Whole Chapter)
An unfriendly man pursues selfish ends; he defies all sound judgment

Philippians 2:3 (Whole Chapter)
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.

James 3:16 (Whole Chapter)
For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.

and the last one. Well.. there is a whole lot of proof. In fact, so much that I cannot paste it all here. but try this website.. it'll help...

He was an athiest who set out to prove God and Christianity wrong... he ended up proving it right. lol.

You can tell them that they are right!
The Christian God is evil because he endorsed moses, and moses ordered that brothers kill brothers simply because the people prayed to another god while moses was up with god getting the 10 commandments.
Living for someone else is to place one's emotional dependence on another person. A normal person is not going to do that because it leaves you vulnerable to manipulation, something that religious body do very often and very well. Just look at the catholics, they claim to be oh so holy, but yet they used the tithes given by believers to settle the lawsuits of gay paedophilic pastors in the clergy. The clergy tell you to do all the things the bible say, or be threatened with an eternity in hell, but yet they say that they will forgive gay paedophiles in the clergy. WTF?
It is true that there is no proof of God or Jesus. For all you know, the bible is just a fictional storybook written in the early days, adapted from the lives of a few inspirational people. If I am not wrong, the Jews do not believe in Jesus, yet they are a branch of christianity are they not?
FYI, we are logical people who are sick and tired of religious bodies telling us what to believe, and squashing any queries as being a blasphemous attack on the christian faith.
If your god and all its teachings are so holy than thou, tell me, why did christianity inspire the crusade against the muslim, an attack that was more about plunder than about god. Why is the christian community divided between homsexuality? Did the bible not mention that homosexuality is wrong? WTF?

Many people only want to live for themselves, they are their own gods. Words will not reach such people. Quite often it takes a disaster in their lives to see that they are not self sufficient and that they need someone greater than themselves or another man. It would take God to deliver them. This is why sometimes God allows bad things to happen, just to wake some people up.

In the mean time, just keep telling them the truth the best you can (in love) as Jesus would.

They sound like alot better people than your boyfriend (that you need to dump).

Just because people do not believe exactly as you do, does not mean they're bad people. I don't believe in Jesus, but I'm somebody that helps others for a living. So just because we believe differently than you, does not mean we're bad people. Statements and beliefs like that are what causes all of this anymosity. And don't say anything back to them! We do not want to be preached at, and we don't need your opinion. Just because you believe one way does not mean you are right and everyone else is wrong, and it does not mean you have a hotline to god that you know all the answers. So you go about your business, and let them go about their's, without your judgements.

They have lost faith. They are the kind of people that need to be able to see, hear, touch something to make it real in their minds.

And if they make comments like God is evil, because just cause I dont want to live for him, I get thrown to hell for it?" just shows, there is some sort of root of belief there.

Just remind them that the roadmap of faith doesn;t drive you around all of the potholes or life, but through them.

I think it's wrong to label anyone based on two or three things you've heard them say. Remember, only God knows what is truly in their hearts and it's wrong for any of us to assume we know what God knows.

You cannot change another person. It's impossible. The only things you can control are *your* actions and words. Explain why you disagree with them, tell them what has made you believe as you do, and then leave them alone. It's OK to agree to disagree. We were sent to share the word, but what the other person does after that is up to them.

Do you blame them, you cannot give what you don't have. It takes a special grace of God for one to be born again. So if you are not a christian you can believe the existence of God or Jesus. What i know is that at the last day every individual will stand at the judgement thrown whether you believe or not.

first the god is evil because he throws people in hell is not true he allows people there chooses and by there chooses they burn like sausages on a grill. the person is right that wants to live for there self if they are not a believer there eyes are closed and they well not understand that to live for Christ does not mean your going to have less of a life but more of a fulfilling life , we believe by faith no mater what PROF'S you show them they have no faith so they can not understand what your trying to say to them .when asked these questions you must understand that you do not have to win the debate you only need to understand they are lost .

The best way to reply to evil, as Jesus teaches us, is by quoting scripture. Consider using the scriptures Jesus used when Satan tempted him, while he was in the wilderness for 40 days. Do not put the Lord God to the test. It is written that man cannot live by bread alone. Forgive them Lord for they know not what they say or do.
Always pray for the lost.
In time all will see the truth.

What type of people are they? They're mostly atheists that want to believe, and seem to think it's our job to convince them. Why else would they be in the religious section? They don't understand faith without proof. We cannot give them proof, the concept of faith is that we believe without proof. I'd like to see some proof of their "big bang from nothingness", but they can't seem to provide it, since it doesn't exist, yet they pretend its fact instead of the theory it is. They pretend they have "proof" of the ape to man theory too, but that also is imaginary. Actually, they have the same dilema we do, we have faith in God without proof, and they have faith in the big bang without proof, yet they insist we're the ones being illogical. So basically, the best thing to do is just ignore them.
