Hell is a fictional place... it does not exist in reality. Only in the minds of those who will waste their lives in fear.

Well there are many beliefs out there and most of them believe in some type of version of a hell or heaven...afterlife. It just depends on what you believe. Some don't call it hell or designate the evil source as hell, but unless its athiest....most do believe in a good and evil source of life and spirits in this life and the next. I believe there is a hell and a heaven. One can't exist with out the other otherwise there wouldn't be balance. It would be a eutopia with out a hell, or complete chaos without a heaven. Then there would also be no real middle ground....us of Free Will. Kinda like a all or nothing. With Free will we at least get to choose good or evil....creating a balance to life as we know it.

Hell does exist

as many have said, you might not want to find out.

Hell does exist, right now, apart from the earth, to clear up misconceptions posted earlier. Hell is a state of being experienced after death by souls who have committed deadly sins (mortal sins, as Catholics call them, and referred to by Saint Paul in his epistles) for which they have not repented. There are two judgments: the particular, at the moment of death; and the general, at the end of the world. The previous posting about Revelation concerning death and hell giving up their dead would be the General Judgment, when all things become clear and all souls see the placement of all other souls in heaven or hell and understand why they go there. The deeds that merit their placement in each respective place will be known by all other souls at that time.

The church fathers have taught that if one lives his life as if Hell exists, living a good life to merit placement in Heaven, and at the end, there is no afterlife, he has not lost anything. If on the other hand, he lives as if Hell does not exist and in the end it does, he will have lost everything! Be wise.

Even if you believed in the bible, hell would not exist today. It's supposed to happen at the end. Where those who claim to study that book get the idea that people are burning in hell now is anyone's guess.

If, like me, you agree with Sartre's view: "Hell is other people", then yes, hell definitely exists.

Hell only exists if you believe in it, some say that this is hell. Hell can be many things. We create our own hell, A true god would not send us to a hell because god would know that we are not responsible for what happens here in the physical plane and that it dosen`t really matter what happens here. After death a much greater understanding of the big picture is available if you wish to accept it. God is everywhere, yes even in hell if you create it in your mind. Remember that god dosen`t experience things like us, so if we are burning in the hell fires of eternal damnation that we created god is there but not experiencing the suffering that we are putting ourselves through.

Yes, it exists for hell is only another word for grave. It is not a horrible place. Hell is temporary, for Jesus is going to resurrect those who are in hell. Revelation tells us that Jesus has the keys to hell, meaning he will open the graves of those who have fallen asleep in death to be reunited with their families and loved ones. [ Revelation 1:18 ]
Revelation 20:13,14 tells us also__" And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
We can see here that hell delivers up its dead and then they are judged. Hell and death are then destroyed forever. This will be a wonderful time--no more death and no more graves. It brings us closer to the God who gave us life if we know that he does not torture anyway. If someone burned or tortured someone close to you for a long time, how would you feel about that person? Would you respect them or want to be close to them? Satan loves it when the churches of Christendom make God out to be so terrible and sadistic. When the Bible tells us that God is love, that is what it means.

Yes, hell does exist. It is a small town in Jamaica. I can honestly say that I have been to hell and back. Somewhere in a scrapbook I have a post card I sent myself that literally has a postmark from hell on it.

It isn't a place to visit, or a place we can understand but it does exist spiritually.

The old idea of fire and brimstone was there to help the population understand a very difficult concept, unfortunately although we seem to have progressed the imagery of hell is locked in a time warp. Not that it matters. hell is very individualised.

That's right. There is no permanent place where dead people are tortured. And because 'Hell" or 'HADES' in Revelation, has been elimimated along with death. Revelation 20;. 14 And death and Ha´des were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire. No more death confirms Revelation 21;4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
