I look to her to solve all of mankind's problems

2006-07-26 14:35:46 · 16 answers · asked by Anonymous in Religion & Spirituality

I ask you to give thought to this question before answering, or as I often will do shoot it right off the cuff.

My question is:

Where does your life begin...and when does it start to end.

I am not talking about the stage of life as a fetus or even as a small child. I am talking about (as an example) does your life begin when you become independent, and in so becoming independent does it begin to end because now you have to be responsible for yourself? Or (another example), does your life begin when you learn the value of friendship, and in so learning does it end when you realize that no one really takes your best interests to heart other than yourself (or your mother).

I'd like to hear what you think was the beginning and the beginning of the end to your life, or others lives. Not necessarily one having to do with the other, just whatever your thoughts on it are.

Thanks!

Why does God need to bother with them at all?
He's the all knowing being, right? why do they need to be judged, if they are, and if they aren't, why not? Is it clear that he will judge the LIVING AND the DEAD?
Why does he also need to bother to "judge" nonbelievers at all? I thought it was a given they are going to hell. Now things aren't as black and white?

a) When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

b) I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

c) I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev 15:19-24). The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

d) Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?

I get disrespect from ppl of all ages. Why do ppl feel like me being nice, I'm putting myself in the position to be misused & abused? I have foster & biological family & even a TWIN, & not one member loves me. People try 2 intimidate or threaten me into getting what they want out of me. I wonder. How am I always considered an easy target?

My foster mom said I'm gonna wind up in jail or dead one day & deserve it, & my foster brother in law said I put myself in the position 2 DESERVE 2 be misused & abused. Is this mental abuse? Also, my foster mom says that ppl have a right 2 disrespect & misuse me.

Also, Jerusalem's Chief Rabbinate, Monday, called for world wide prayer on behalf of Israel to begin on Tuesday. Psalms 83 was one of the texts given to pray. Do you agree with me that finding the old Psalms about the same time is God's confirmation for us to pray Psalms 83 & claim it?

Moses hits the ball into the water hazard and looking at Jesus says "I wonder if I've still got it?" Jesus bemused just shrugs his shoulders while Moses raises his driving iron to the sky and parts the hazard, allowing him to play through.
Jesus hits his ball. It skips out into the same water hazard and lands on a lilly pad. Jesus looks at Moses and says "Hey, I wonder if I've still got it?" and Moses offers the same shrug in return.
Jesus walks to the edge of the water hazard, takes two steps on the water and falls in. Moses falls on the green laughing. Jesus does it again, and once again Moses is on the green laughing. Jesus stands up turns to Moses and angrily shouts
"Shut up, I didn't have these holes in my feet the last time I did this." Any one ever heard that one?

1. I was thought of as an idol. Doris Day was my friend. My death from Aids made all the papers.
2. I was in a tv western. That boyfriend of mine wasn't very romantic. I ran a bar. I would have rather been romanced by "the big guy."
3. I did NOT have an affair with the wife of Noland Ryan. I've worn tights, shot arrows, thrown baseballs and been a golfer.
4. I am a comedic actress, having started out on tv in a real happening of a show. I have starred in movies with Diane Keaton, Bette Midler, Steve Martin and Woody Allen, to name a few. Once, I was even in a movie with my live-in love. The critics thought we were all "wet."
5. I was on a live tv show. I sometimes played a newscaster. Once I got upset because they said to take the violins off tv...what they actually said was to take the violence off t.v. NEVER MIND.

Evolution is a theory. The concept of an atom is theoretical. Most of science is based on ideas that are 99% likely, but not proven 100%. My question is simple: Why is the theory of evolution so controversial, but atomic theory is unquestioned?

If for whatever reason you feel that it is necessary to use a biblical quote or say that the Bible said something, please provide evidence that the Bible is true. After all, there are fossils to support evolution, but evolution is questioned by many. Therefore, for creationism to be true, there has to be some evidence to verify the Bible.

An old girlfriend called me when her car broke down and asked if I could help her. I didn't feel like it, so I told her that I was deathly ill. As it turns out, she ended up marrying the guy who did help her.

After she was married to this guy, she called me and said she'd like to meet up for lunch to catch up on things. I really didn't feel like it, but I agreed and went to see her. As it turns out, she was living in a duplex owned by her husband's grandmother, who lived in the duplex also. Her husband worked nights, so later on that day, she invited me back. I ended up having sex with her in their marital bed, then I ate the guy's sandwich, drank his beverages, and last but not least, I stole his leather jacket on the way out.

Later that day, I helped a friend paint his garage and got paint on the jacket, so I threw it out. When I thought back on all of this, I laughed hysterically. Is this immoral?
