Why does God need to bother with them at all?
He's the all knowing being, right? why do they need to be judged, if they are, and if they aren't, why not? Is it clear that he will judge the LIVING AND the DEAD?
Why does he also need to bother to "judge" nonbelievers at all? I thought it was a given they are going to hell. Now things aren't as black and white?

okay -
Ask yourself this:
Before he died, Josef Mengele reportedly became born again and professed to be a Christian. He was the Angel of Death in Auschwitz.
Ted Bundy, bless his soul, called on a televangelist before he was put to death, to be saved. He killed as many at 32 women
Ghandi, on the other hand, was a peace lover who preached much the same as Jesus, never hurt a fly and changed the world without firing a shot.
Apoloynius of Tyre, a man who lived at the same time of Christ, preached the same message but was not a Christian.

Who should God let in to Heaven? Doesn't it seem that God should care about deeds as well as words?
Then again, I'm a pagan. I get to party with Einstein, Oppenheimer, Jim Morrison, Ghandi, Oscar Wilde and that bunch cuz obviously for all the good work I may do, it won't matter it God is a petty, bitter, old fart who only wants people prepared to rejoice unto him regardless of their actions in life.
Personally, hey, Sammael - get a spot ready for me! Better to reign in Hell than serve Jerry Farwell in Heaven

Yes, all will be judged. By that time of course, they're won't be any non-believers anyway, but regardless, past non-believers will get judged too. The thing is, we'll have to face sins we don't even remember doing. We have to deal with everything we ever did, good and bad. On the upside, believing without proof has to be a plus in the whole judgment thing. Also, there were times in the world when everyone hadn't heard the word of God, do you really think He'll just send them all to hell if they didn't even know? They'll get their chance, just like everyone else. God is fair.

Your questions seem to be those posted by someone who is honestly seeking.

I would like to apologize for everyone on your lists who claims to be a "Christian" and does nothing but spout scripture or call you "ignorant".

I could go into a litany about the greek word used for "judge" and explain how the ancient root speaks of actually determining a sentence or reward for ones actions, but you've got enough of the uber-long blogs filled with hate speech.

But consider this... if you had never heard of God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit because you lived in some remote jungle where you nor your people had ever heard, do you really think God didn't have the foresight to consider your situation?

Hello friend,
Sad that you would use the word "them". Too much of the worlds' trouble is an "us or them mentality".
I also am guilty at times of the same.
Regarding the judgement, there is so much that could be said , or better, what God's Book says about it.
May I say to you, judgement day is for all of us is only a breath away and we perhaps would be better off getting on our face before the God of the Universe and getting right with Him since our own judgement day may not be so far down the road.
Other than that friend, if you're in Christ, your judgement day happened about 2000 years ago on a Cross outside Jerusalem where you were found guilty and condemned to death. But thanks be to God, a little Rabbi stepped up and said I'll take his place. Then took your sentence of death on Himself so you would'nt have to.
What He basically said was... I'd rather die than live all Eternity without YOU.
So friend, in Christ, your penalty is paid. But apart from Christ, you'll find out first hand on judgement day.
Please please don't wait until then.
Jesus is waiting just for you. You were on His mind that day 2000 years ago. Go to Him. He loves you.
Blessings in your search.

We will have to give an account for our actions, Romans 14:12 declares, “So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.”

All of us, living and the dead will be judged. It does not determine salvation. Now, there is a generally accepted idea, that there may be levels of heaven, and how you are judged will determine your heirarchy in it.

That is something the Bible does not tell us, is what our judgments will be, or our punishments. We will all be judged. The Lake of fire will not occur until after tribulation, it will become later, so before that it is ust hell, wich is removal from God, so none believers may go to hell. Some speculate, before they are all cast into the final Lake of Fire, they will be given a chance to repent, so Hell was merely a temporary punishment.

1 Peter 4:17,18 For it is the appointed time for the judgment to start with the house of God. Now if it starts first with us, what will the end be of those who are not obedient to the good news of God? And if the righteous man is being saved with difficulty, where will the ungodly man and the sinner make a showing?

Rev. 20:12-15 And I saw the dead, the great and the small...and the dead were judged out of those things written in the scrolls according to their deeds.

Imagine that, scrolls/books in heaven with everyone's name and a long story of what we did all our life. I guess it is like court; Daniel 7:10. The evidence is presented. Everyone is guilty of sin. The only way into the book of life, and to be declared not guilty, is apparently to repent and live with faith in Jesus.

1 John 3:23 Indeed this is his commandment, that we have faith in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and be loving one another...

Rev. 3:19b ..be zealous and repent.

Believers will be judged but not for their sins. Rather they will be judged for what they did or did not do for Jesus' Kingdom. Believers sins will be repented and forgiven and forgotten as far as the East is from the West never to be remembered again.

Non-believers will be judged for sins that haven't been forgiven by the blood of Jesus. It would not be right to just throw someone into the pit of fire and not let them know what they did wrong. This way they will have no doubt when they come face to face with their creator.

No, it is not a given that anybody is going to hell. God is the judge, he judges right down here, too. Whatever you sow you will reap. If you sow evil, you get that back, if you sow mercy, goodness, compassion, long suffering, you get that back. He will have mercy on whom He will have mercy. We will all be surprized who will be in heaven when we cross over. Also, He will have thebook open, but I have a feeling He will surprize some of us religious zealots and pharisees who think certain folks are going to hell, that won't. Only God knows the heart.

God will judge EVERYONE. (Believers, and non-believers alike)

He is the all-knowing, and they need to be judged simply because they/we DESERVE to be judged.

When a guilty person goes to court ---- they know what they do, but as part as proceedings all evidence is made known...same situation here..."All evidence" will be made known ~ so, if someone ends up going to hell, they won't have to question why/how they got there...

(such as this silly question suggests)

and YES things are black & white. However, blindness does a funny thing to people. They can neither see black nor white.

2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat (bema) of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.

The judgment seat or bema judgment is a judgment of rewards. The Greek bema seat was a place where athletes would receive a crown for winning an event in the ancient games. Read the judgment seat of Christ @ http://web.express56.com/~bromar/ on the top of the Free Stuff page for more info.

The white throne judgment spoken of in the Book of Revelation is for unbelievers. God is a just and righteous God and it is in His will to demonstrate to the damned why they deserve to be cast into the lake of fire.

Believers are being judged right now as they live their Christian lives. They judge themselves by the Word.
They will not need to be "judged" on Judgment Day because they are continuously judging themselves as they apply the Word to their every day tasks and lives.

Non-believers will be judged on Judgment Day because that's what the Bible says. That's how God wants to do it.
It's as simple as that.

Not every nonbeliever is going to hell.
There are many good people from different countries that never had a chance to know about Jesus Christ.
He will judge them fairly according to their works.

Do you know that the Bible says that those who give a glass of water to one of His special children will be saved ?
(IF they didn't commit the unpardonable sin of blasphemy)

Just think...being good to one of His special ones...

That's why we should be nice to everyone...because you never know!
