First you believe in the books. Thus Your faith is in the men who compiled the books. Next in men who edited books. And so on long before you even hear or see the words of the books.

I just have to laugh because someone called me a hippie (in a bad way) while answering one of my questions. OK, so I'm into yoga, meditation, and love reading about taoist philosophy.

But...I live in the city, I'm (fairly) young, and I have a professional job. And I love reading Ayn Rand.

So, I'm curious for your opinion...am I a hip-yuppie? LOL
And also, what category do you think you fall into more, or is it pretty equal?

what about identical twins, which are not separated until long after conception. Do they have to split a soul. On that same note, what about conjoined twins. They are only separated after birth. Are they sharing a soul, or does one not have a soul?

It almost seems as if the soul could be another man-made idea...

After visiting my grandmother's ranch last year in Mexico I herd some thing that will always freak me out. Even if I hear the Story about the Llorona I still get nerves. I woke up at 2 in the morning from a deep sleep don't get me wrong this is going to sound a little crazy and far fetch but I'm not LIEING any way I woke to hear animals walking around the front of the house we live right next to a river and the main road which every one in the town uses. Well I thought I herd a horse out side of the window my cousin who was bunking it with me woke up and herd the same thing. I was freaked out but not as much because animals around the town walk freely so I'm used to hearing animals walk all over so we just fell back asleep I woke up the second time this time every thing in the house and in the room and out side went quit I mean really quit at first you could hear dogs barking and all that sort of thing you hear when you live in a Ranch. Every thing even the electricity turned off. every thing seems to be still then I herd it a loud scream It said in Spanish O MY children I got so freaked out I couldn't move. I'm so serious I herd the cry's of this lady I wanted to get out of the room and run into my parents. That's how scared I was. Then Every thing came back on the electricity and I started hearing the dogs bark again. I thought it was my imagination but I know that scream was real. That Morning I got up and my aunt told me she herd the Llorona so i know i was not imaging it. I know what I herd was true. beside no one in in the town goes out at night for that reason only there scared of what they might see. Let me know what you think? O and by the way I have seen my share of weird stuff!!!! Thanks again.

Are they just looking for confrontation? I guess it makes sense if they have a real question, but it seems to be an outlet for hostility, or a soap box for trying to convince Christians that they're wrong or stupid, or a forum to call them names or make fun of them. Yes, I know some Christians are always trying to convert people, but if you don't like it, and you're not religious, why wouldn't you just stay the hell out of the religion category??? You don't go to church, do you? Why would you want to come here? It seems kind of hypocritcal to me. Sharing opinions is educational and healthy, but nobody wants someone else's beliefs shoved down their throat. Just wondering what the motivation is, if it's something other than animosity???

I know this one is going to invite alot of comebacks, but I want to know if anyone has ever heard of an actual interview with a pediphile that described what he went through in his head.
Do they feel shame or remorse?

We're getting married Aug.6th, 2006, and he wants (and I want him) to move up here to Vancouver. Does anyone know of any websites or information on how we can quickly and efficiently do this without hiring a lawyer? I am not about to move down to the USA because our marriage will not be respected nor accepted by the US government.

Thanks!!!

Why do people when answering question make assumptions on the writers point of view and attack that person? I asked a question about religion and stated very clearly that I got this question from a website and was interested in what people thought. People assumed it was my point of view and started attacking me showed they obviously didn't read the whole thing. And, if a question isn't relevant to your life anyway why are you answering anyway?

Well all my life I have been a proud Catholic who questions things. First off I gotta say I don't blindly believe everything the pope says or the bible just because its written. I question stuff and find answers and so far the answers I have found with Catholicism really please me. This way you guys know Im not what you call a "brainwashed Catholic".
First off, I have lost some friends because their parents find out I am Catholic or they find out I am Catholic. Most people will try to get me to change my religion or call me a heretic. I dont know how many times I've been called a pagan by other Christians because 1. I believe that we get the body and blood of Christ. 2. They claim I worship Mary and the Saints when in fact Catholics hold these people in very high respect because they are prime examples of how to live as a human being. and 3. Because Catholics pray for the dead in purgatory. I have actually found places in the bible that mention purgatory and why not pray for souls?

When was the last time a person knocked on your door to try to get you to go to their church or practice their faith? What faith or church were they from?

When was the last time you heard of a person caring for the dying or feeding the starving? What faith or church were they from?

Honest questions. I am just curious to see the answers. No judgements.
Peace Be With You,
Debra
