We're getting married Aug.6th, 2006, and he wants (and I want him) to move up here to Vancouver. Does anyone know of any websites or information on how we can quickly and efficiently do this without hiring a lawyer? I am not about to move down to the USA because our marriage will not be respected nor accepted by the US government.
Thanks!!!

Canada's immigration laws allow you to sponsor a close relative. The link below applies directly to sponsoring a same-sex spouse. Beyond that, I guess it's just a matter of packing. If you need help with the U-Haul, consult your nearest lesbian.

once you're already used to the Texas oiltown existence-sort, Calgary heavily isn't hard to comply with. it truly is smaller than Houston, yet very similar in format and ask your self, and the human beings imagine and act a similar way as Texans - self sufficient, proud, pleasant, and a touch pink around the neck. quite some Catholic faculties, Calgary honestly has a Catholic college Board cut loose the ordinary public gadget. Calgary is amazingly spread-out, parts to avert are the northeast and Bowness, some thing else are oftentimes sturdy. good street gadget, sturdy public transit, winters aren't from now on severe by using Canadian criteria.

Why won't it be accepted? Is your husband a human? Is he of the opposite sex? Does he want to change citizenship or visit or what?
Call an immigration office and ask. Surely Vancouver has one.

I think that your husband just needs to contact the government that he is moving, but I would also try searching online on moving to another country.

By percentage, Canada has the most gays. But since a conservative was elected, that may change.
