Why does God allow suffering when He loves so love us that He gave His one and only son as a ransom to free us from sin and death?

My friend and I talked to this girl that we went to high school with. We talked for like 20 minutes and then my friend told her where would be on wed night and she said ok I will keep that in mind. then after a while she said ok guys I have to go but have a great summer and I am sure I will see you guys around. My friend and I think she will never show up on wed night at this cafe bar and that we got the brush off. Is this true we got brushed off?

The 'woman' who brings the developing human being to be killed is a murderer. The 'person' doing the 'procedure' is a murderer. The person accompanying the 'woman' is a conspirator. Once the egg is fertilized it is not a matter of a "woman's right to choose" because the fertilized egg is a separate entity and is not a part of the woman. It is receiving nourishment and a warm environment to develop. The fertilized egg could be incubated out of the woman and thrive elsewhere if it is not destroyed - if it is not murdered. Murder is prohibited!

A good friend of mine died Friday night in a horrible car accident. Her favorite flower was a red rose. Would it be appropriate for me to take a single long stem red rose to her viewing tomorrow afternoon and palce it on her casket? Do people do that? I have been to very few viewings and funerals.

This is an honest question! I was reading online about several Christian men (caucasian American men, children of white European immigrants) who converted to Islam and changed their given names, kind of like when Casious Clay became Muhammed Ali after he converted.

When it comes to African Americans who convert to Islam, I have heard the name change described as them eliminating their "slave names" and reclaiming their cultural identity...things like that.

But why do people from other ethnic groups do it? Is there something in the Quaran that suggests a name change is necessary?

I tried to find an answer to this question on-line, but I didn't find anything other than more conversion stories.

For about the last 2 years, I see numbers like 111, 222.333 ect.. all the time. I see them everyday, several times a day. Sometimes in three, and sometimes in fours. When I first started to see them I thought I was going bonkers it happens so often. I see them on clocks, mileposts and different places. It is almost like someone or something is trying to communicate with me. I have read the book Angel Numbers by Doreen Virtue, and she thinks that it's their way of communicating with people. I am usuakky a very logical person, and would be interested to know if anyone else has experienced this, and what theory they have come up with.

It says in the bible (Luke 17-20) and in the Nag Hammadi, Gospel of Thomas, That "It will not come with observation, you will not say lo here, or lo there, for the Kingdom is within you". So how come everyone keeps saying that heaven is a "place", when the bible clearly states otherwise?

A fellow finds himself in front of the Pearly Gates. St. Peter explains that its not so easy to get in heaven. There are some criteria before entry is allowed.

For example, was the man religious in life? Attend church? No? St. Peter told him that's bad.

Was he generous? give money to the poor? Charities? No? St. Peter told him that that too was bad.

Did he do any good deeds? Help his neighbour? Anything? No? St. Peter was becoming concerned.

Exasperated, Peter says, "Look, everybody does something nice sometime. Work with me, I'm trying to help. Now think!"

The man says, "There was this old lady. I came out of a store and found her surrounded by a dozen Hell's Angels. They had taken her purse and were shoving her around, taunting and abusing her.

I got so mad I threw my bags down, fought through the crowd, and got her purse back. I then helped her to her feet. I then went up to the biggest, baddest biker and told him how despicable, cowardly and mean he was and then spat in his face".

"Wow", said Peter, "That's impressive. When did this happen"?

"Oh, a few minutes ago", replied the man.

The purest form of morality is simply doing the right thing, because it is the right thing to do. Once you introduce the concepts of reward (heaven) and punishment (hell) an action can no longer have any moral value because now the action is based on a desire to be rewarded or avoid punishment. Can Christianity still be Christian without the concepts of heaven and Hell?

So, I havn't been on Yahoo Answers in a while, and I finally decided to visit. I was excited when I found this section again, but was slightly disturbed when I noticed all of the questions (and statements) agaist Christians. Being a Christian myself, I was wondering why almost everyone seems to have it in for us. I don't hate you or scorn you for your religion, race ect. I never have. Thanks in advance for explaining this to me calmly and thoroughly.

Assuming that the Norse mythology is to be taken seriously, do you believe that it was in the past that Surt, Loki, Ambrosia, and all the others did battle with the Aesir, or is the World Tree still standing, and the old witch still reciting the Voluspa?

The timeline kinda confuses me o.o

I saw 3 symbols hanging outside of a building. The top one was Freemasons compass and level.

The 2nd is a 5 pointed inverted star with the colors white, green, red, blue, yellow starting in the 6 o clock position. Inside the star is an alter with an open book on it. The alter is surrounded by the letters T,A,L,F,A starting at the 6 o clock position.

The other sign of the 3 is a half circle with the letters B,F,C,L. There is a triangle at the bottom with an R in it and 2 arms with hands shaking underneath that.

Here's the pics/URL http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g201/Crystaleyes123/symbolsMediumWebview.jpg
