My friend and I talked to this girl that we went to high school with. We talked for like 20 minutes and then my friend told her where would be on wed night and she said ok I will keep that in mind. then after a while she said ok guys I have to go but have a great summer and I am sure I will see you guys around. My friend and I think she will never show up on wed night at this cafe bar and that we got the brush off. Is this true we got brushed off?

sorry to say but yeah thats what it sounds like. It happens, it sucks but it happens. But there could b a chance that she may show. But i wouldn't hold your breath.

Did you and your friend actually invite her to meet you or go with you? Or did you just say where you were going to be? If you invited her, then she brushed you off. If you were just mentioning where you were going to be and assuming that she would want to go then you set yourself up. Some people don't understand sublety and hints and some people, without an outright invitation, would consider it rude to just tag along. If it's bothering you so much you should ask HER about it. Maybe she doesn't like bars. I know I don't.

She may have been telling you she would keep it in mind, but that did not mean she would be there. "I'll be there" would be a commitment. Keeping something in mind is like writing a phone number in wet sand on the beach - it will wash away, no commitment made. Sorry, sounds like a brush off to me.

Yes. Since she did not ask about a specific time that you would be at the cafe, she doesn't plan to show up. If she wanted to come, she would have said "see you wednesday!"

If it sounds like a brush off, looks like a brush off, feels like a brush off, walks like a brush off, talks like a brush off, then it's probably a brush off - I'd enjoy myself without expectation of her arrival - then if she does show- you'll just be pleasantly surprised!!

She's not planning to come, but she didn't want to be rude to you.
