I think that some people have a gift for noticing repeating patterns in the universe, "synchronicity" as Carl Jung termed it. For reasons we don't understand, sometimes the universe seems to "hiccup" as once writer put it, sending out repetitions and patterns that convey meanings. Some would say that this is also a way in which God or the Holy Spirit might be working.
I do have a friend who is very gifted in seeing these patterns or coincidences. She has a very high IQ and is extremely sensitive, sometimes a bit psychic.
I think perhaps from what you describe you too have something of a gift. Since this has been happening for the last two years, it is possible that the gift is emerging, or the thing being communicated to you is just starting to happen.
You should probably just relax about it and see what happens. Possibly as you become open to it, you will see other patterns and coincidences that have more meaning to you than these numbers.
You might enjoy doing some reading on chaos theory. Chaos theory basically looks at how the universe tends to move from disorganized random states into states of organization and complexity --such as the repeating patterns in a stalk of broccoli, the symmetry of boiling water, patterns in cloud formations, etc.
These are similar manifestations to the number patterns you are observing.
You might also read about what Jung had to say about synchronicity.

You're not alone. All people see them every day.
But consider the following: how many numbers do you see every day that are *not* repeating numbers? How many numbers do you see every day in total?
It's quite common for a person to focus so much on certain types of otherwise meaningless coincidences that they actually ignore or forget the more common instances that don't fit the pattern they're seeing, and therefore begin to think something meaningful or important is occuring, when such is not the case.
If you are, indeed, a very logical person, then this is a method of testing whether or not something is actually happening, that may appeal to you: every day, write down every single number you see, everywhere, all day. Pay close attention to all numbers so you don't miss a single one. At the end of every day, read the list you have compiled.
If there are substancially more repeating numbers than would be statistically likely, then maybe something odd is going on.
To determine just how likely such things are, take this as an example:
For any series of three numbers, like 123, the odds of seeing the same number in a row three times (like 222) is 1/100. That's because there are ten combinations of numbers wherein a single number is repeated (000, 111, 222, and so on until 999) and a thousand total possible combinations of 3 numbers (000 through 999) Thus, 10/1000 = 1/100.
Therefore, if, say, 20 out of every 100 (20/100) combinations of three numbers that you see are repeating numbers (as in, 222) then you have something going on that is more than statistically likely. However, if it's something like 2/100, even though that's higher than what is statistically like, it's still regular coincidence (in real life, you've got to have a margin of error).
You can use that same tactic for combinations of 4 numbers, 5 numbers, and so on. Same math involved.
And keep in mind that you have to do this for many days (say, a month or more); it's entirely possible that, on a single day, you could actually see an unusual number of repeating numbers, and never have that happen again.
That probably sounds annoying and tedious, but if you really want to know if something unusual is actually happening to you (such as angels communicating with numbers, or something of the sort), then that may be what you have to do.
Or, you may just notice that you're mistaken after paying closer attention to all the numbers you see.

Numbers such as those are more heavily employed because they stand out more than others. Doreen Virtue has little to say on this matter. Just think, are these numbers that you are viewing randomized, or are they chosen by a person to stand out. Example: fake phone numbers start with 555. Also, I'll bet that there are many other numbers that you just disregard as unimpressive.

This is a perfect example of selective memory. You actually see non-repeated numbers all of the time, but because you are convinced that you should see repeating numbers, you remember it when you do. We all see these kinds of numbers all the time, but we don't think about it or remember it. You may have seen a lot of them for some time as a result of a coincidence, and now you are just kidding yourself. It happens all of the time to everyone.

It's entirely circumstancial, you want to see numbers such as that due to some belief or standard you have in your head, so you pick them out amongst the crowd. It's difficult to do conscieously, but possible, none the less.

Sounds like your being a bit paranoid. When you start seeing 666 on your digital alarm clock then I would be worried.

get your eyes checked they may be blurry!
Or you may be looking for it.
When I was going to buy a new car i started seeing them on the road everywhere.
If it is something you are aware of it is easier to spot!
