I don't understand why they think this way when it says plainly in the bible that all generations shall call Mary blessed. It doesn't say anywhere that all generations shall call Eve blessed.

Eve disobeyed God, and said yes to the devil. But, Mary completely surrendered herself to the will of God saying yes to Him.

Remember the only acceptable answer here is a definition of "religion" that is (a) an generally accepted definition of the word "religion" and (b) is broad enough to include atheism within its scope.

All the writers and authors of the New Testament were Catholics. The Catholic Church determined the canon of scripture and gave us the Bible in 393. At that time they adopted the Greek Septuagint version of the Old Testament because it was the one used by Christ and the apostles. (Even the protestant Bibles have quotes from Jesus and the apostles which refer back to these books).

I know Martin Luther wanted to make his own doctrines and threw out several books from both the Old and New Testaments (He called James "An epistle of straw"). Most protestants later restored the New Testament books, but not the Old, adopting the Hebrew (Saducees) version instead.

On what grounds?

At which point in history, or how did the description of "homosexual" or "same-sex oriented" people become "GAY".

I read a attricle on another site stating that harry potter was announcing the arival of the antichirst. If he even exsits to begin with. why? is it that if someone other then a person from the bible does a magical thing it's automatically considered witchcraft. But if a biblical person does the same thing it's " AMEN" it's a miracle? I know some people reading this will not agree with my view but i don't really care. I recently really pushed for a rise at work and got it, I thought that it would make me happy, it did for about a day.
I am 23, I have a B/Sc and an M/Sc, a reasonable job, some good friends, I'm not ugly honest, but am far from happy.
I suppose that the upshot is that I don't have a partner, I am not the sort of person who can just go up to a person and ask them out, not that I don't talk to women, one of my best friends of a woman.
Alright this isn't a question, it's more of a comment.
Any thoughts on the "happiness factor" and how to improve your happiness?

No matter what the question is someone usually has a lame response like "you're God's child and you're beautiful." Just tell the truth when you answer questions, if people wanted to be told that kind of nonsensical garbage they could read the bible. People come to Yahoo Answers to get ANSWERS not theory. When all the bible thumpers die, come back, and then tell me that God really does care what we do and do not do. He gave us free will and the choice to tell someone a B.S. answer or the facts. The B.S. on Yahoo Answers is getting so deep we're all going to need snorkles in a few days.
