Nobody hears anything from the so-called Holy Ghost.
The Holy Ghost does no exist. The fact that it's called a ghost ought to be the first clue. I thought Scooby-Doo taught us all that ghosts aren't real. The Holy Ghost doesn't even have a man behind the curtain.
You might still believe in that claptrap if you were raised in it, but occasionally, people claiming to hear messages from the Holy Ghost make asses out of themselves and make it apparent that the whole belief is flawed.
Take the guys in charge of Campus Crusade back when I was in college. They were big, important, spiritual people, and they thought the Holy Ghost spoke to them daily. Well, imagine my surprise when the Holy Ghost one day told them they needed to discipline me because I supposedly had an eating disorder! In reality, I merely skipped a single meal, but these preachers became convinced their Ghost spoke to them. It was ridiculous.
It was also the first step toward my becoming disillusioned with religion. I hadn't had any reason to question it before, and any attempts to question it would get me yelled at or punished while I was growing up. The religionists couldn't hide the plain facts from me, though.
So, I guess I could thank whoever invented the idea of the Holy Ghost for indirectly leading me away from Christianity, except he died a long time ago.

I think this question is better directed at anyone who is deaf really. It would be interesting to know what a deaf person thinks :-)
As far as hearing is concerned, I don't think you only listen or hear with your ears. I do believe you can hear with your heart in more ways than one. If you don't open your heart while listening to someone you may not understand properly, especially if it concerns the heart and is spoken in a heartfelt way. It's the same as not processing what is being said with your mind, you wouldn't understand then either.
If your heart and/or mind isn't open to something, people could talk and talk, birds could sing, a baby could cry and yet you'd never hear any of it.
By the way, I don't really know about the Holy Ghost and my answer doesn't really account for that as that is beyond the scope of my experience. Then again, if you'd ask a Christian, maybe my answer does apply :-) I'm really talking about general things in life and that is something I can account for.

I believe that it is justhow strong U R to your religion, and how big your testimony is. It doesn't matter if U R deaf or not. It matters if U R willing to listen and R listening for the Holy Ghost. Keep strong. U can hear him 2!

They are called "Quiet" because they certainly don't make any sound, but that doesn't mean that you sense them any better when you are in a quiet environment.

.......no. You have to listen inside yourself, not with your ears. I think you need to meet some deaf people.
