What makes you assume by default, that God was "created"? He wouldn't be "God" if at one point he didn't exist. God is self-existent without the need of an origin. Eternal life is a perpetually uninterrupted state. Can you count backwards to infinity and reach the "first" number? Neither can you count eternally backwards to reach God's "origin", because he doesn't have one. He is infinite in ALL directions, in eternal past, to eternal future. Have you ever stood between two large mirrors, like in a dressing room? Notice how your reflection stretches on to infinity in both directions? Think of this like the span of God's existence. There is no beginning or end.

I hate this question, simply coz it cannot be answered..
The way to consider this question is to not consider God as a humanesque figure. Humans can be created like all other living things that are within our Earthly reach of thinking - God is on a level waaay beyond that. Its difficult to think of God as something we cannot completely understand because it is human nature to want to know everything (and it is human nature to believe that they CAN understand everything)
Not the best answer, but hope some of the above philosophy can open a new route of thinking!

Mother nature ultimately. Nature created the water, which created the tide pools, which created proteins to join, which created DNA which created cells, which created organisms, which created the brain, which created GOD!

No one created God. He has always been in existence and He will always be in existence. He had no beginning and He has no end.

Man created the idea of a supreme being (or beings) which controls the universe, out of a need to explain occurrences which the primitive mind could not comprehend.
