I stand in awe of the universe....and my own eyes.

You certainly have a way of asking questions. When there is a quiet time like you describe at night looking at the stars or when I stand still to watch the sunset, I definitely feel closer to God. I believe it probably has to do with the words Moses spoke as the Egyptian army road into view. BE STILL AND SEE THE GLORY OF GOD. (I have paraphrased it I am sure you know.)

No, but I feel happier about the fact that I own a couple of astronomy books and a bunch of physics books.

Edit: Do people who can look at something pretty and, no matter how reasonable an explanation there is for that pretty thing and how reasonable an explanation there can be for a person's ability to appreciate beauty, still say that it's somehow a proof for God's existence, really claim to know a thing about logic?

1. A is pretty
2. Therefore, B exists. Q.E.D.
3. ???
4. Profit!

yes! Gods creation is very beautiful and awe inspiring! when I look at the millions of stars in sky, i am reminded of Gods glory and might and diversity and omnipotence and how he has giving a little piece of himself to every and all things! Danielle is absolutely correct!

I definitely do. The real and true God, I mean -- the cosmos. I mean 'God' as the intellligent, non-judgmental energy that flows through each thing and each person. We are star stuff, all of us bits of that eternal cosmos. The skies are a truer testimony to the divine than anything ever written by men.

Nope, not at all... I admire the colors that are dispersed due to scientific reasons, not God. And I love looking at the stars, wondering what planets are surrounding them and what life there might be there... that God didn't create.

Yes, I certainly do. Looking about and thinking about the vastness of the universe, makes me think about what a miracle everything is; nature, science, existance.

Nope.

I feel very very small and insignificant, which is what we are.

That can be a trafic truth, or a truth with which to make something of yourself...
