One day i realized I couldn't bear the burden of guilt and condemnation of sin any longer, and I realized there was only One person who could (and wanted) to REMOVE it for good, (and hint: it wasn't Mohammed). And amazingly, great peace, joy and freedom returned!

Have you asked Christ to do that for you and if so what were the results?

My friend is in love with a girl he met once at a college newspaper conference and then he kept emailing her and chatting on AIM, as of today it has been 1 year since they last communicating and he still says he loves her and he has told her about this love(probaly freaking her out and driving her away). I think he is infatuated because prior to that he had no contact with any girl or any girl ever showed interested in him.
Just to give you an idea of his background:
-21 yrs old living with parents
-Never even kissed a girl
-home schooled, i was his first friend ever in college
-believes earth is 5000 years old and believes in noah
-hardcore gamer, chess geek and newspaper editor
How do I show reality to this guy?

postpartum depression and not bonding with your baby right at birth. I do not understand how some women can feel that they do not love or have a connection to their babies right after birth or even a few weeks or months later. I am not a professional, but I do have two kids and felt an instant connection with them at birth. I feel that women can use the nine months before they give birth to bond with the babies while they are still in the womb. Also, I don't understand how someone can be depressed after they have just given birth. If someone is depressed then they probably shouldn't have had kids in the first place. Look at Andrea Yates. Depressed for years and still kept on having kids. What are her kids doing today? Oh, that's right-she killed them. I felt the most wonderful feeling in the whole world after just having my kids, and all I am saying is that I just don't understand.

I work with this creature, that could pass for a man or a woman. When she was hired, we made jokes that her name was probably "Chris" or "Pat" or something. Turns out it's freaking name IS PAT!!!! It is pretty heavy set so it could be a dude with man boobs or a big woman with small boobs. The way it dresses is no help whatsoever. What are some questions I could ask someone I barely know (without offending) to find out it's gender?

My question is if Christians are so forceful that Christianity is correct, why is the biggest population of people on Earth not Christian?

The passage in Genesis 1:27 — "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female he created them" (before describing a mate being made of Adam's rib and being called Eve in Genesis 2:22) is sometimes believed to be an indication that Adam had a wife before Eve.

Eve was nothing but trouble.

1 Kings 3:12
I have given thee [Solomon] a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.

I am sure we will hear many interpretations but wander how they may sounds.

sure, you'll get your reward after you die, but who wants to wait that long? Sometimes being good really sucks when you see all of the evil around you getting all of the things they want by lying, cheating, and various other methods. Why be good?

"When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony which they had maintained..." (Revelation 6:9)

"Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years." (Revelations 20:4)

It is clear that difficult times are ahead, whether in our lifetimes or not. This calls for a difficult question.

Again, Christians, if a gun was held to your head and they said they would kill you unless you renounced your faith, what would you say?

Hopefully this will never happen to any of you.

God bless.

There were many books of scripture circulating in Christianity during the first 300 or so years before anything was actually put down in the Bible you know today. If you didn't know that, you just learned something. If that pisses you off, blast me with your hate; I think it's funny.
Out of all the gospels and such, only a certain select were chosen, by men, to be included in the Bible, the rest were tossed out and have become known as the Apocrypha.
Given that the hand of man decided what was to go in the Bible and put it together, how is it people call the Bible the Word of God?

Does it seem like people ask certain questions and know the answers already to see what level of ignorance other people are on? ;) Do you also think it is because they can't even have an intelligent argument or debate or synergistical understanding with you because you can hide behind your anonymity?

I want to know if there is anyone at work or school or just something that they can't get out of for awhile and they are just bored to death?? My question is : I have about an hour and a half before I can leave, what can I do between now and then to not be so bored??

I love Y! Answers, but you can only take so much of them, when the questions start to get really boring and redundant... I have watched soooooo many online videos of just about everything you can think of... and I feel like I've been to the end of the internet and back 5 times already... I've written out my bills here as well as my grocery list...

Some one please help me! I need something that will take up a significant amount of time that I could do at work without getting into trouble. (Like I can't go around screaming and running, which is what I would really like to do....)

I know that a large number of people are going to say yes because of the christian beliefs. However, did you ever stop to think that situations just happen, that they are there for us to grow and learn from. It is just situation, that is all nothing is good nothing is bad.

II have noticed an overwhelming number of questions related to Christians vs. Atheists as opposed to any other group. This seems to be the effect of a straw manned approach, as if these were the only two ethoses that exist. There are plenty of other religions or people who consider themselves spiritual but are not affiliated with any one particular religion that these issues can also address. It almost seems to me that Christians are saying, either you don't believe in God, or you are a Christian. There are plenty of nuanced ideas out there and if some of these people claiming to be atheists would sincerely investigate these alternatives they might not consider themselves atheistic anymore ending the whole false dichotomy altogether.
