"When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony which they had maintained..." (Revelation 6:9)

"Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years." (Revelations 20:4)

It is clear that difficult times are ahead, whether in our lifetimes or not. This calls for a difficult question.

Again, Christians, if a gun was held to your head and they said they would kill you unless you renounced your faith, what would you say?

Hopefully this will never happen to any of you.

God bless.

Yes. Consider the girl at Columbine, with a gun to her head, she was asked if she loved Jesus. She replied in the affirmative and was shot. That takes a true Christian, and a lot of personal courage, but Jesus tells us, whosoever dies for my sake will surely see Paradise.

Unfortunately, I have always been very shaky in my relationship with Christ; I never think about my religion, and like so many others in this country I call myself a Christian but am not really sure if I am one. If a gun was held to my head, however, I would probably say yes after a prayer for forgiveness.

Since I have never been put in this type of situation, I could not say. I would like to think that I would not renounce Jesus Christ at all.

I will say that when I was in high school, students wre threatened to be expelled from school if they prayed on an empty lot across from campus, before school started (early 90's). At that time, I was willing to be expelled.

Faith need not enter this question at all, for if you've ever seen james bond or any similar movies you would konw that you only need grab the gun as quick as possible and turn the situation around on ur attacker :-P ....and then ask him if he's feeling lucky

I hope that I would not turn away from Jesus, but we never really know till it happens, do we?

I pray that God will give the courage to Stand On The Rock.

Yes, I would be willing to lay down my life for Jesus, if called to do so. That would be the biggest test of our faith. Though I pray this never has to happen to anyone. If called I would pray for the courage, and heart to do so.

I believe that I would still say that I'm a follower of Jesus Christ because if I'm going to die I rather go knowing I wasn't ashamed no matter what.

I would like to think, yes. Wasn't there a little girl in Columbine who died in tht same situation? I know she is in heaven w/ Jesus. I have resolved never to renounce my faith, but I pray I don't ever haveto face tht.

I would like to think that i would. i would love to profess my faith to the person who obviously doesn't truly believe (they can't be true believer if they are holding a gun to my head). I'm not sur what i would do under pressure... i hope that i would die for my faith instead of deny Christ's love
