Is it a poosible scenario that US got nuked so severely that it's economy
collapsed completely, all infrastrutures and communication completely destroyed in such a way that although having the largest stockpile of nukes it will lose the power to operate them and retaliate?

And all what does that do? yousuffers, you feel, you love, likes, you fight, you survive... why all of the efforts & sacrifices we make just to live in this life, and any then dying of dispair, even if you won't even be remembered?

It's a difficult concept for humans to grasp. Inevitably, sooner or later, we're going to die. But do we have to get old and frail? Why can't we keep going, forever?

What are your thoughts? Why must we die?

may sound stupid...i just want your views and ideas. Thanks!

(dont tell me to read the bible.have a nice day)

Just for a little bit of background on me, I'm 23 and I didn't attend regular school when I was younger as most young people did. Instead my parents hired teachers /private tutors who taught me and my siblings every day. So outside of some science classes and drivers ed in High School, I never actually attended regular school to get socially adapted to the rest of society. Once I got to college I made friends reasonably easily but people say I am very cold and direct in my approach in talking to and dealing with people. It's something I'd like to change but I'm not particularly certain where to begin. I'm now done with college (and have been for a year) and am just trying to better communicate with people in general.

I've seen many comments on Yahoo about atheists and it made me wonder where people got the information they used to form their opinions.

I'm not asking about your opinions, I'm asking where you got the information you used to form those opinions, e.g., personal experience, friends, family, preachers, teachers, et al.

Thanks for your answers.

I am an atheist.

What do you believe about the dinosaurs and other extinct species? Were humans alive the same time as dinosaurs as Genesis seems to suggest. How do you explain fossils of species that no longer exist, but are similar to species alive today. How do you explain that Genesis contains two versions of creation that seem to contradict each other at times?

Feel free to state whatever your belief or philosophy is.

God has aspects. Externally God seems like simply the Almighty, but internally God is all Good, All Sweet. What are your thoughts and opinion on this?

What are your thoughts on this? Is it a heresy? Or does it make sense?

Do you use the subjunctive mood nowadays. I picked up these sentences from a dictionary.

#1 He demanded that she explain why she told a lie.
#2 It's strange that she be angry with me.
#3 She insisted that her daughter come home early.
#4 They insisted that she be there.
