If you have auditory hallucinations, you could be paranoid psysophrenic(?spelling). Or the government could be beaming sounds into your mind. Or someone could be out to get you by playing a tape of a door opening and shutting. Or someone could just be coming in or going out. You need to find out which one of the above is true.

In the Mexican culture of South Texas, when a person dies, their spirit goes and bids farewell to all they people that loved them. This is done so when a door opens and closes. I heard of this growing up in the Rio Grande Valley.
