No because we would be use to it just as we are now, were use to Heaven being up and Hell always being down so if we were taught from the beginning that hell was up and heaven was down, it would be no big deal. Besides, they would still be the same kind of place.

Of course it would...
Heaven is associated with the sky, the sun, light... To get there you have to rise, it is an allegory for becoming a better person, you get the picture...
Hell is dark, it signifies falling on the scale of morality... You have to go downwards to reach it. Plus it is easier to dig a whole underground than to fly to the sky (that's the point).
All of the religions have these two places... They generated long before Christianity appeared... It is simply logical that good guys go towards the blue skies and the warm and shinny sky and the bad guys go oundergroung where there is only darkness.

Hell is down because it signifies the darkness and dirty nature of death, decomposition, et cetera.
Heaven, I would wager (based on how concepts of hell formed) deal with the freedom of the spirit after death (as opposed to the rotting corpse) and as such would be above, where when released it would supposedly drift or rise or simply move about freely.
It's important to keep in mind that ideas like Hell - that existed in most every culture and religion - usually started out as myths or parables meant as metaphors for the things they dealt with. (The Japanese idea of "Hell," for instance, is a rotting and filthy place beneath the earth in contrast to Shinto's focus on purity and cleanliness)
Because of that, the ideas of heaven and hell would not have formed opposite simply because we do not levitate our dead into the air where they never rot or become ugly and frightful.
So I think it would kind of be a big deal, because we'd say 'Who in the world made such a pointless metaphor for death?'

Not really. Supposedly from what I hear....not from what I myself believe.......Hell is here.......tempting and creating hellish events to make people insane, suicidal, killers, and doubtful about their faith....everything possible.....and Heaven is the do gooders that are underground lurking in the shadows, making sure that things aren't too bad.......that the suicidal person doesn't take the one little pill that would kill them or make the right cut so they don't bleed to death before they are found.......they are the hope givers that come to you just when you think you can't cope anymore you suddenly can and do.......ahh you ask what about the people who do commit suicide or do do bad things. Everything happens for a reason .....and you are here to experience something that you chose before you reincarnated so once you experience it you no longer have a purpose and sometimes it's just your time to go or........hey I don't know all the answers....or I'd been knocked off long time ago.....

Not at all . Although it makes no sense since power is usually "UP". It would just not fit in with normal standards but it wouldn't be a big deal for the majority of us.

Well, I don't think it would be too big of a jump...sometimes evil things come out of the sky..like flaming meteors that effectively crush civilizations, lightening, hail stones as big as a bloody softball, rain that washes out the garden, a really bad sunburn....yet we're buried in the earth, people speak of the earth as Mother, and we grow our food in the earth. Besides, caves are really good to hide in when things are falling from the sky....eeek.

that would take some time to get used to. but if we were brought up to think that hell is up and heaven is down no one would even think twice about it. we believe everything our perants tell us and teach us. atleast i used to, i dont anymore. you get old enough to make up you own mind about things.
