How about U.C.L.A.? Is it a city where you can make good money?

UCLA is beautiful, but the surroundings are kinda ghetto-ish. I might be biased, but NorCal is so much better ;-)

you can make good money but everything costs 4 times as much too, so you cant get ahead. california is the most expensive state to live in, you are far better off getting into a state school where you live as it would be half what a private or out of state college is, the cost of living and comfort level is far better in other places.

UCLA is a great school. It is NOT surrounded by ghetto, in fact it is in the middle of some of the most expensive neighborhoods in the city. (I think the previous answerer was confusing UCLA with USC, which is a private school, and is surrounded by a less expensive neighborhood).
