do you know why? because islam is the only faith thats led by a man who shagged a 9 year old baby girl. islam is responsible for keeping muslims in ingnorance, poverty, and tribal customs, and islam does not tolerate free speach, democracy, liberation of women, and it has the death penelty for murtads (for leaving islam)
i am a child of the 21st century and why should i follow a primitive violant cult like islam?

CNN talked about how two missiles were fired onto Hifa and how 8 people were killed...yet Israel fired HUNDREDS of missiles and bombs, killed HUNDREDS of civilians, and their deaths are seen as nothing on the American news.

deaths are regrettable on both sides, but why is the American news so biased? Face it, Israel wasn't firing all these bombs and killing all these innocent people to free their two soldiers. Their not defending their country, their just killing innocent people. Lebanon is basically wiped out. They took it too far and yet they aren't seen as terrorists. Baffels my mind I tell ya.

Is it proper or does it make sense for an AA Group to vote that Only Home Group Members May Celebrate Annual Sobriety Anniversarys at that the Monthly Anniversary Meeting? Shouldn't ANY active member be allowed to celebrate regardless of group affiliation? I think that is excluding people am I wrong? I am desparate for an answer because I have been told I cannot celebrate my seven year anniversary because I am not a home group member.

To those who have been in prison (not local jail, but "hard time") what is it like? Is it as violent and scary as the TV shows and movies will have you believe? Do they MAKE you work long hours for $0.10 an hour? What the worst part about it and what's the greatest misconception? Answer one, more or all, thanks!

Living in NC I hear a lot about the end times and even see bumper stickers promoting it "Warning: in case of rapture this car will be unmanned" Then I read tracts which tell me how horrible the end times will be and just who is going to be left behind gays, all non-christians and other good people who just happen to have a different point of view. Further more people who do terrible acts such as murder or worse can repent five minutes before they die and go to heaven.

If I were one of the ones choosen to go to heaven at the end of days (and according to what I am told I will not be) I would beg God to please spare the innocent and good people of this world and make a place for us all and if I felt I was going to be choosen in the final days I still would not go around praying for judgement day. I just do not understand.

Please feel free to discuss your own society/country and whether or not you feel that the sentences given to rapists are appropriate and if you think your society's view of sex contributes to the laws pertaining to rape or sexual molestation.

For this question "sacred" doesn't necessarily mean within marriage or heterosexual. My intention is not to start a battle regarding these two issues.

What i am saying is that the latin community likes to use the african american culture as their own cuz they love it, but at the same time they act like they are the best, they act like they are their own people and they don't neeed nobody else. I hope you guys know what i mean.

Ok, somebody pissed me off and said there are no reasons to not be a Christian presented here, so here I go.

1.Crusades
2. Persecution of the Jews
3. Persecution of Gays
4. Holocaust
5. No scientific evidence backing up the New Testament
6. Most Christians act like hypocrites
7. 1/5 of the worlds population is Christian, nearly all from brainwashing and illiteracy
8. Belief that the world is not worth saving since it is going to end soon
9. Hell contradicts an all loving God
10. Biblical contradictions written by the same author
11. Many teachings of the Bible are ignored, even when you say it is the infallible word of God
12. Holds back science, and in turn holds back humanity
13. Believes the world is actually 6000 years old and this infinitely large universe with an infinite amount of stars and planets was made for us

I am getting a tattoo soon, and I am getting the words "Ocean Spirit" tattooed in spanish but, I want to know the proper translation for it, because several different sites, and several different people have been telling me SEVERAL different versions.
I think it's "Espiritu Del Oceano" but what does "Del" mean? Espiritu means Spirit and Oceano means Ocean, so what is Del? Is it it not grammatically correct? I don't want my tattoo to say something that it's not supposed too... does anyone speak spanish?

Did some laundry on Sunday night at 10p- all 8 machines were available and I used them all. Came down promptly at 10:30p to move to the dryers- and there were a few bags a laundry waiting to be put in- but no one there. When i came down to pick up from the dryer- had an irate woman tell me that I was out of line to use all of the machines.
I asked her- did she really believe that when I arrived in the laundry room and found it empty- that I should leave a few machines open even tho I needed them just in case someone showed up at 10:15p and wanted to do laundry. She assured me that that was the proper ediquette- and told me that under no circumstance should anyone ever use all of the machines. She told me I am not the only person living in the building so I shouldn't use all of the machines- and for good measure called me a selfish prick.
Is it me or is this woman out of her mind? Once I realized that she wasn't kidding, I felt like Larry David.

An aquaintance of mine who has Muslim friends told me that Islamists value death the way that Christians value life...and that Islamists value having their children die in the name of "Jihad" and that martyrdom of their children is the highest honor. I am curious and would like to hear from Islamists on this. Thanks.

The word has a number of meanings including 'difficult to handle to due size or shape', 'causing inconvenience', 'potentially embarrassing' and 'lacking grace'.

Why then do I see some people online using the word as if it simply means 'bad' or 'difficult' or 'wrong'?

Is it one of those words where a lot of people don't know what it actually means and is often used incorrectly? Or is this one of those situations where the meaning of a word changes over time? Has anyone else noticed what I'm talking about?
