Living in NC I hear a lot about the end times and even see bumper stickers promoting it "Warning: in case of rapture this car will be unmanned" Then I read tracts which tell me how horrible the end times will be and just who is going to be left behind gays, all non-christians and other good people who just happen to have a different point of view. Further more people who do terrible acts such as murder or worse can repent five minutes before they die and go to heaven.

If I were one of the ones choosen to go to heaven at the end of days (and according to what I am told I will not be) I would beg God to please spare the innocent and good people of this world and make a place for us all and if I felt I was going to be choosen in the final days I still would not go around praying for judgement day. I just do not understand.

Because they are nut bags. I don't know about you, but I will fight till my last breath before I let my species blink out of existence. People are nuts, what the hell are they thinking?

There are dozens of reasons. Some have already been mentioned.

** Some people are tired of responsibility and want out. They are not happy campers.
**Others look for proof of what they believe not having any assurance within themselves.
**Still others follow religious understandings promoted by end time teachings and various interpretations of the Bible.
**Some probably just like the bumper stickers.

***Now I mention something that you should look at and get your eyes off the question of rights and fairness. People destroy themselves in the long run. God steps in to save a remnant. In the case of those called; the judgement falls first on the people passing out tracts.

Al Gore is concerned about global warming with drastic climate changes.. Stephen Hawking, here on Yahoo Ansers, was asking how are we going to sustain humanity for the next hundred years? There are over 6.5 billion humans and counting. Pollution of land, sky and waters, chemical imbalances in the population due to poor food supply, loss of species and habitat, breakdown of civil and moral structure, increases in disease, constant wars and starvation. Just statistacilly the human race is headed for disaster. Economically the world is walking a razors edge led by the United States.

And this time nobody is building a bomb shelter, setting up a survival plan, or putting some extra canned goods and medical supplies on the shelf.

If somebody tells you the building is on fire would you sit down and argue human rights and fairness?. What is wrong with this picture. Oh by the way, I think the Mayan Calendar ends in 2012. Interesting?

Those bumper stickers are obviously promoting a pre-tribulation rapture. In other words, Jesus' followers will just disappear one day before the tribulation begins (the last 7 years). That view is probably un-Biblical (I'm still deciding.)
I don't want the Tribulation to start, but I do look forward to the day when Jesus conquers Satan and this world is peaceful and pure again like it was in the Beginning. I wish all the hard times didn't have to come first, but if that's God's plan, He knows best.
It does make me sad to know that so many will suffer and die and then burn up in Hell because of their pride, stubbornness and sinful ways. But I can only tell them and show them Jesus' love...I can't force them.

Dear Friend,

Heaven and Hell is here and now. Suppose you generate a negativity in mind, nature punishes you by making your mind imbalance releasing certain chemicals in your blood.resulting You feeling terribly sad in that moment & this is what I call Hell ..And if you perform an act of Compassion, mercy- Nature again realeses certain chemical's, and you feel peaceful about it & thats what I call Heavon. Now the sum total of all the good acts till this time is your account Balance of merit for Future. So if you can start doing Compassionate acts llike Praying for world peace, helping the needy people, meditating, that will increament your merit's bank balance and then probably you wont have such questions at all.
So Enquire within if you can start doing good to others whenver possible and then you will start living in moment & you wont bother about Judgement day but wellcome it whwenevr it comes with open arms.

the reason christians believe a murderer can repent right before he dies and go to heaven and a homosexual can't all depends on your heart. Sinning because you are human and you made a mistake and are truly sorry is different than continuing to sin. There are mistakes and there are lifestyles. I don't judge anyone. I only worry about myself. Trying to make sure I get into heaven is a full time job so I have no business looking at someone elses flaws. I'm not sure why you think you will not get into heaven but I can tell you if you are worried about it, it's not too late. If you are interested I will try my best to help just send me an email by clicking on my picture.

Most of these people you are referring to are more than likely
simply wanting an end to the evil and suffering of the world
today..things are getting worse...Jesus said that right now the
ruler of things of the earth is Satan..and in the end God will take
back ownership and bring an end to all suffering and pain...
don't worry about what some people say about being judged in
the end...no matter what any one says only God will judge us
individually ...and no one has a right to go around acting like
they have all the answers....the Lord said to first take the board
out of your own eye before you attempt to take the speck out of
someone elses...so leave all that up to God .....God Bless!

Who is God? This is the question behind the question.

Does He have the right to judge people who reject Him?

At that time, many people who believe in God will be murdered, just as the Religious leaders in Jesus time wanted to kill him because they were not willing to listen to Him.

It is not when people have a different point of view that they are wrong. It is when they do not respect goodness and justice which lead to God that they are wrong.

read some of the words of Jesus. See who he rejected and who he accepted. You may be surprised.

Not everyone who goes to church has the right point of view. Check it out for yourself.

Judgement day is just a necessary judgement to get to the next phase.

You hit on some key stuff here. One being the importance of our beliefs and the result of those beliefs. You say that you won't go to heaven on that day. I say it's up to you. And could be as easy as taking your next breathe, but you have to choose to take it. The jist is this: We ALL deserve Hell. We have all broken God's law (sin). Payment is required for that sin, but we can't provide it. Imagine you stand before a just judge and he tells you that you have to hand over 100 grand in cash right now or go to jail. You can't hand that kind of cash over, but someone walks in and says that you're all set. He'll pay for it so you don't have to go there. Jesus did that for you. But you have to believe in him, admit your sins, and choose to live your life for him.
I know that there are people out there who do condemn people and really go over board. However, I also know that there are people out there preaching just what you want to hear. Which is better? Neither. Sometimes people will say stuff that is true about you and you'll get offended. Why are you offended? Cuz you know it's true and don't want to admit it. Right? So, take a step back and decifer wether you're mad cuz someone is in your face yelling at you, or are they telling you the truth and you don't want to deal with it?
I know it's hard. I'm a christian and still deal with alot of stuff. We're not perfect. Far from it. But let's look at what is true.
So what if the bible is true? What will you gain or lose by believing or not believing in Jesus and appreciating what he did? Think about it and I'm always open for a discussion about it if you'd like.

Well, it's like this. I post on this site almost every day and tell people that God has made a way for them to be saved if they will only put their trust in Jesus Christ. But the Bible says that one day God's patience is going to run out and those who continue in rebellion will have to pay the price. I don't want anyone to go to hell. I don't think that one person's sins are worse than mine and they "deserve" to go to hell.

The Bible says that we all deserve to go to hell because we've all broken God's laws. As someone who is grateful to God I try and do his will by telling people about Jesus so that they too can be saved.

Personally I don't want the end times to come because I care very much about some people who haven't yet come to Christ and even those people whom I don't personally know I don't want to be hurt and damned for all eternity.

As to people who hand out tracts and put bumper stickers on their cars, I'm not their judge, Christ is. Maybe you misunderstand some of them and others of them are not true Christians but have been decieved and are really the "tares" that Jesus spoke about who are children of the devil disguised as Christians.

Why don't you put your trust in Jesus so that you will have the blessed assurance of salvation? Then you can help all of those people whom you also seem to be concerned about.

William Booth, the founder of the salvation army had a two visions from God that turned his whole life around. In one of them he saw people standing on a barren rock in the middle of a storm tossed sea. There were many people in the water in danger of drowning still, as if there had been a ship wreak and only some had made it to safety. Most of the people on the rock were staring up at the sky and only a few of the ones on the rock were trying to reach out and help those people who hadn't yet reached safety. That's one of the reasons he quit his successful job as a business man and started the salvation army.

If you want to read about his other vision click on the Judgment Seat of Christ on the Free Stuff page @ http://web.express56.com/~bromar/ and go all the way to the bottom where the author includes his vision in an appendix to the book.

True Christians pray for God's kingdom to come and his will to be done on earth the same as in heaven. That means ridding the earth of all wickedness, it will mean the vindication of God's sovereignty and the sanctification of his name, which is Jehovah, and it will be spoken in all the earth and made holy. It will mean no more wars, no sickness, no more death, no more tears or mourning, all wickedness will be torn away from the earth and only righteousness will dwell there evermore. When Armageddon arrives there won't be any last minute reprieves, it's times up, you had your chance.

There are people who really do want the "end times" to come quickly, and these are the people who are the most dangerous, particularly if they have any kind of political power. Sure, it's funny to think of the ordinary Joes and Janes praying for Jesus to arrive ASAP, as if they think they can make him hurry up even after the Bible tells them that God has his own schedule and plan...but it's also scary to think of what could happen if one of them ever gained enough power to start a war for the sake of Jesus.
