if there was a giant astroid headed toward earth and would wipe out the human race do u think the goverments of this world would tell us or not?

Something like this would be impossible to keep as secret. There are a umber of private telescopes that would also find out about the approach of the asteroid.

I think the governments would unite to try and avert the collision.

what's the use? what would you do if the governments of this world would tell you that in a few days an asteroid will wipe out the human race? Maybe in a few days you'll use more VISA or MasterCard knowing that you don't have to pay back?

Well, the governments would not tell us if there was because if they did, it would show that they actually DO NOT know what to do. If there wasn't, however, they would say there was, and then tell us how they will destroy the giant asteroid with their superior technology, and then put embellishments in the story to make themselves look good.

They would NOT tell us. It would cause mass panic and hysteria. Many people would die horribly instead of just getting vaporized in the blast. We'd never know it was coming.

Yea, but not the government, the media would handle that.. and we would be able to vote on how it was handled. haha the media has their hands on all, even when it is wrong or immoral to do so..
