It's not like a toothpaste brand. People live their lives on what they believe. Are people so naive to think they can change one's belief system by posting on Yahoo? Wow!

That we Christians share far more than the differences that divide us? And that we need to concentrate more on unity than on division? Remember Romans 12:9-21, The Marks of True Christians and 1 Corinthians 1:10-17 Divisions in the Church. Let us stop our arguing and finger pointing and spend more of our energies on following Christ!

Peace Be With You,
Debra

..either Buddha or Johnny will be offended?

HA! It's a trick question! Buddha IS Johnny Depp...and Johnny Depp IS Buddha...

...so my screensaver will still show the Enlightened One. Just with beads in his hair, and wearing eyeliner.

And, of course, I'm Buddha too. And you are as well. So...

Never mind.

Father Maximillian Kolbe died in a starvation cell at Auschwitz. The cell was one from bunker 11. My question is, what was the number of the actual cell where he was imprisoned and finally died? I saw a video on EWTN and it showed number 18, but I could not find any other evidence from the books I've read.

"God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have show himas you have helped his people and continue to help them." hebrews 6:10 For me, this verse is the reason i keep going when i am tired or feel i cant make a difference - it reminds me that no matter what i am going through, God has a purpose and a plan for my life and there is nothing that i go through that He can not use for my benefit and His glory. Your opinion?

that the common expression ' the writing on the wall' can actually be traced back to the Book of Daniel, when the Babylonian king Belshazzar was giving a great feast. We are told that the great hand appeared and began writing on the wall. The message was one of doom for this king, who was persecuting the Jews, and he died that very night. Interesting, huh?

One thing that I cannot stand is how some people who wear those earpiece cell phone attachments annoy me simply because they walk around talking and you are never sure if they are talking to you or the person on the phone. On one hand you don't want to be rude and ignore them because you think that they are on the phone but at the same time it gets to be annoying to allow your mindset to be interrupted every 3 to 4 minutes simply because you think they are talking to you.

Christians who are the true Israelites that should inherit God's Holy Land? Is it the Zionist Jews who even don't recognize Jesus and believe him to be a heretic, lunatic, false messiah and "whose blood was upon their head"? Or is it Christians who are the real new-born Israelites and God's chosen people according to the New Testament?

There are literally hundreds of different religious sects on this planet. Check your local phone book under churches for evidence. Can only one of them be right? Every other faith is wrong and going to haides?

We are still in the dark ages as a species. We believe in nations, fear controls us, violence persists and war is constant. Ignorance dominates knowledge throughout large parts of the world. The mid-east is loaded with ignorance / religion

The human race is in toddler mode - scared of monsters under the bed, wetting our pants after a goblin story, believing in Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy. We need to grow up and get away from goblins, witches, angels, demons, gods and devils.

Knowledge is the path to truth. Don't read and depend on old books written by scared little men with political agendas back before they had indoor plumbing. Those books/religions require the truth be disregarded. The Bible, Koran, Book of Mormon etc. are all loaded with contradictions

Did a "gynocologist" test Mary to see if she was really a "Virgin" or did everyone just take her word for it?

In Proverbs 8, wisdom is personified as a woman. It tells of her attributes and her creation by God. She says " By me kings reign, and rulers decree what is just... I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me... The Lord created me at the beginning of His work, the first of His acts of old." Any one seriously looking for Lady Wisdom would have to look at the 24th chapter of the apocryphal Book of Sirach. Here too wisdom is a woman, and she states that the Creator assigned her to make your dwelling in...Israel..." I took root in an honored people"( Sirach 24:8,12).

Your thoughts?

My sons and I say a prayer everytime a fire truck, police car, or ambulance pass by us within hearing and have the siren sounding. We pray for those in danger or illnes. I was just wondering if Protestants had any of the same practices.
