It is the main reason there are church splits. We major in the minors. If we concentrated on the things that truly unite us, we would remain a strong influence. Unfortunately, people are people, and the flesh has a strong pull on our lives. Many people prefer to be "right" than agreeable. Church is often no different.
However, that being said, there are legitimate reasons to separate. Heresy, compromising the truth, blasphemy, and other major doctrinal issues should not be negotiated. As Paul said, "Let God be true, and every man a liar..." (Romans 3:4)

Amen. I am glad to see that someone else realizes this also. United we stand divided we fall. It is the old game of divide and conquer. Until we as christians can form a united front and dedicate ourselves to finding common ground and following Jesus we will never prosper in the manner which God intended. God is good Debra. He loves you and I do to. Keep spreading the sister. We as christians need to hear these things. I will be praying for you. Peace and God bless.

Boy, do I feel you on this one. I have seen and been in so many debates with other Christians that I've just stopped. If I see an debate forming, I change the subject. It's really sad that we're so divided. We really should focus on what we have in common, and that's a love and belief in Christ.

Oh, yes! Great observation. We are spending too much of our time and energy within the Body... at the cost of not doing as much of the important work outside of it.
The differences are ok - if we are looking at Jesus and in the word - different expressions are ok. I think we are very comfortable in using energy on analyzing differences, it is much easier than doing missions for many.
Christ commanded us to go into the world - that emphasis is clear.

We are commanded to dwell in unity. As the body of Christ, we need to work together! Not split up. Our hand would be nowhere without our arm. Amen, and God Bless!

Thank you thank you thank you. We are the body of Christ, and we should concentrate on growing closer to each other in Christ day by day, unitied as one voice, one body in Christ. Christ told us to love one another, as He loves us. Amen, sister, you hit the bullseye!
God bless,
Danny

I think our differences should be embraced but we all need to be aware that evil will use division among us to prevent the fellowship and the love that sustains us, not just with other believers but the relationship we enjoy with God.

Your thoughts are wonderful, but some relgions have turned their churches into corporations and they run them like corporations and as such, the other churches are the competition. That's the real problem.
