One thing that I cannot stand is how some people who wear those earpiece cell phone attachments annoy me simply because they walk around talking and you are never sure if they are talking to you or the person on the phone. On one hand you don't want to be rude and ignore them because you think that they are on the phone but at the same time it gets to be annoying to allow your mindset to be interrupted every 3 to 4 minutes simply because you think they are talking to you.

i believe all public cell phone usage is annoying and selfish. Cripes, do they have to always be talking to someone who isn't there? Are these people ALWAYS in the wrong place? It has totally destroyed conversation with strangers. My latest retaliatory strategy is to hold my hand up to my ear and say, in a louder-than-conversational voice "I'M STANDING IN LINE AT THE POST OFFICE" (or wherever you are). This sends the message to the source of your annoyance, and gets a good laugh and starts conversations between strangers, making the world a friendlier place. And those earpiece people remind me of homeless people talking to their own private Elvis.

They do sometimes.

I had a coworker with a lazy eye who used to talk on his cell phone with his wireless earpiece all the time. I could never tell if he was talking to me because it always seemed he was looking at me ( and everybody else ). He would use it in the restroom too. So this guy was very annoying.

I hate them. I think the people who wear them look like tool buckets. I also can't understand what kind of conversation I could possibly be having with someone as I walk through a store and yap to them. I mean, am I paying attention to the person I am talking to? Heck no. I always get embarrassed if someone else can hear my conversation while I am on my cell, so I hope never to have one of those goofy devices.

Earpiece cellphones as in Bluetooth?
yes, they are annoying. Bluetooth is like having a 3rd ear that is connected to the world where anyone can reach you at any time without the press of a button.

Its really sad how technology is starting to control and change the basic structure of our everyday life.

Yes it is very annoying. I mean gosh, noone wants to hear your conversation. Have you noticed that people with earpieces are louder than using the phone without the earpiece....Uugh, its so rude.

I just assume they're crazy for talking to their newspaper or that tree in front of them and walk away. get used to it while you can cuz I'm sure technology will come up with something even more annoying to make out lives "simpler"

Yes!!! My dad uses that all the time. I can't tell when he's still on or actually talking to me! But it is good for when he's driving so that he doesn't have to use his hand to hold the phone.

Joe I completely agee with you. They look like idiots. The worst ones are the people who think they look important because they are Blue Tooth compatible. They are idiots and they are having a hard time admitting how ridiculous they look.
