im dating a 38 year old man. im 19. because of our age differences it seems we can never agree on anything. hes also chinese and feels that since i dont work (because i go to school full time) i should have no personal life and should have to abide strictly by his rules .... sometimes i want to leave him but i think i love him ... what should i do?

Here's something to think about: Under the Human Rights Act 1998, schools do not have the power to force children to take a drugs test, the police only have the legal rights to demand a test. However, in 2004, Tony Blair gave his backing fro randon drug testing in schools. The DfES published a guidance paper later that year, that urged schools to be cautious but supported the principle of testing.

I used to work with a very nice man named Richard. He and his partner Tony are adopting a child. They had a hard time finding an orphanage here in the US that would allow a gay couple to adopt without charging an exorbitant sum of money, so they are working with an agency in China. The agency is working with 10 or so young women who are all due next month, so they will be going to China at the beginning of August to get the final paperwork in order and await the arrival of their son or daughter.

One of their friends is having a surprise baby shower for them before they leave, and I have been invited. At the bottom of the invitation it says "Queer Friendly Gifts Only, Please." What does this mean? I have tried contacting the hostess, but she is out of town on business and won't be back until Friday, and the shower is on Saturday. I certainly don't want to get an offensive gift, but I am unsure what "Queer Friendly" means. Any ideas?

Religious folks sometimes like to deny our evolutionary origins and regard themselves as a Special Creation of a deity, but isn't it far more interesting and exciting that we're the product of 4 billion years of a slow, unthinking, natural process than something magic'd into existence by a god snapping his fingers? If you need to feel special, surely there can't be anything much more special than being the result of an incalculably long unbroken chain of reproductively successful living organisms since the Earth was young? I think creationists should learn to appreciate that reality is *much* more fascinating and awe-inspiring than banal religious mythology.

why do people also tell me to go straight? i take that as a huge insult becasue i cant just choose to like girls, just like a straight person wouldnt choose to turn gay.
my other question is why are religous people so quick to judge people? in my opinion they arent in any position to judge the next man except for God (thats even if there is one)
oh yeah but back to my question, is there a reason why you feel so negativly about gay people? it dosent define who we are as people, its only one aspect of our lives.

Lo all, Right was reading the paper the other day and an article just lept out and said something to me it read "Church of England to scrap St George". Thier reason was because they didn't want to upset muslims due to its links to the Crusades. Now i'm not rasist or hate anyother countries but is it just me or have our goverment just gone insane? I live in spain and had a job interview for an english speaking nursery today,It went very well but they want to see me interacting with the children before they give me the job.I am a very shy person and havent had any experience working with children everyone has to start somewhere right? They have asked me to prepare something to do with the children for two hours and i have no idea what i can do with spanish speaking 2 and 3 year olds.I really dont want to look stupid in front of the other teachers as im not a teacher they need a nursury helper thats what they want from me. please help and if you have any ideas what i can prepare to make a good impression...... thankyou for any ideas you put forward....
