I don't.
They tell you to go straight because they are ignorant of how you feel towards men - let it slide, don't waste energy getting caught up in reacting to it.
Some religious people have firm (dogmatic) beliefs and are too narrow to consider that God (if there is one) gave man free will.
Sexuality shouldn't be an issue in the 21st Century and it has improved considerably since even the middle of the last one.
Things will get better yet. Glad you got your rant off your chest - it's healthy to do so.

personally i dont feel -vely about gay people .. the problem is homophobes only focus on the physical aspect ..judging sodomy etc... people forget that Love is also a part of a same sex relationship ... gay people do not sc*$w around all the time, they too work, cook, eat , sleep breathe ...
homophobes use religion and morality as a defence, quoting scriptural verses etc but there are even atheists who get turned off by gays... i guess it all stems from the fact that only a hetrosexual relationship ensures the continuation of the human race ... and thsi what makes it 'normal'
alo i find it interesting how my 'homophobic judgmental straight' friends get defensive and angry when i call them 'homophobes'
they think its 'gross' 'yucky' 'immoral' ;unnatural' but still claim they are not homophobes
i think you should ignore such people ...
and . never argue with people whose opinions you do not respect ....

People are just generalizing. Normally you can get to know people within the first few min of knowing their style. Whether its cruel, obnoxious, or just happy and spontaineous. Most people who feel negative about gay people haven't come to terms with the concept of people being homosexual. Nothing to worry about it's always been around. The good thing is... Not everyone is like that of which you speak.

gay marriage might want to not in any respect negatively impression all of us. the people who're antagonistic to it arise with a dozen made-up motives each and each and every of the time. even if its in simple terms overlaying up their hate for gay people.

Were Jesus Christ alive today, he would reach back and bring the ************* pimp hand to anyone for being a homophobe. ATTENTION CHRISTIANS: If you think homosexuality is sinful, then don't do it! But to judge others for it is itself a sin, for you believe that judgement is reserved for your god. You don't see Orthodox Jews beating up a guy at Denny's for ordering bacon. So why do people get killed for being gay?

I could not agree with you more. I'm straight, but what I do in the bedroom is only one part of my life. It certainly doesn't define who I am.

me? negative? why that's the sillies thing i ever heard.
the reason religious people are so quick to judge is because they are not coming to their own conclusion, they are repeating what's been drilled into their heads.
