I have encounter many situations whereby I go into a dinner party of strangers because it is a social gathering of strangers for a benefit. I notice that, it is often me (asian guy) going to make the first contact with other ethnic groups to small talk. When I am by myself standing with a glass of wine, just waiting and observing the room, only other asians will initiate to come talk to me, even if we never met. But never has been the occasion whereby a white man or woman would approace me for small talk. The only time when a white person will come to talk with me is when they need something from me. I think this show many things about white people, they show themselves as being phobic outside of their white racist ways. Or they may be afraid that by talking outside of their white group, they may be seen as polluting their image, so they will never talk to us colored people. FYI, I think white people are the insecure types, needing to protect their "image" over substance.

Fundamentalism, the infantile literalist interpretation of scriptures, is promoting narrow-mindedness, hatred, intolerance and is at the root of the "War on Terror" which pits fundamentalist Muslims against fundamentalist Christians. It prevents people from realizing the truth that all faiths expound the same teachings: to love thy neighbour as thy self.

Will it continue to hold sway over millions, undermining the teachings of the prophets fundamentalists claim to follow? Or will faith that is consistent with the God-given intelligence to see the world as it is, rather than how we wish it were, prevail?

It just seems to me that I see a ton of friends and coworkers leaving faithful and good spouses and boyfriends for people they meet out of town, at a club, just started working with, over the internet. What makes these "guys" actions so special compared to the person they have been with that has been good to them for a longer time, years perhaps?

That the universe has always existed, or is looping, is no answer. I used the big bang, or a start to the universe, as a conversation starter. The question remains unanswered, at least secularly. There has to be some independent existence, something that creates and was not created, something that was before. And to ask where God began evades the question. Both space and time came into existence with the creation of the universe. The creator of this universe is outside of the universe and therefore outside of time and space. I do not say this as if it were obvious or even completely understandable. But, it is logical. It is simply not possible to go back to a point where there was nothing. The universe cannot and could not bring itself into being.

I personally like "The Lamb of God" and "The Good Shepherd" because my grandpa was a sheepherder, and I grew up around lambs. Feel free to explain which title or phrase you like.
