A better question might be how it would impact the aliens.

Christians and other religions that claim that humans are the "center of the universe" would have some work to do, but for the most part extra terrestrials wouldn't have an incredible amount of impact on the religions themselves.

Those practitioning on the other hand... There would probably be a fair surge in the religious masses out of fear and paranoia (If there's sentient life out there, could there be a god/nirvana/whatever), as well as the birth of a faux cosmicist religion. Also there would probably people that would adopt the alien's religion. I wouldn't be surprised if a sect of society worshiped the aliens as gods.

All in all though, there are too many variables for a sure fire answer. Are they friendly? Hostile? What's the technological disparity between humans and the extra terrestrials? These could all have vast effects on the hypothetical situation. Let's just hope these supposed extra terrestrials arent Cthulhian in nature.

i imagine this a topic which will be quite resolved by technique of searching at it logically, and utilising the most of Ocham's Razor. This concept states that the reason of any phenomenon ought to make as few assumptions as plausible. in short, the least puzzling explaination of a phenomenon is maximum in all probability to be the most precise. therefore, the least puzzling expaination is that both a accurate secret experimental plane, or climate balloon became downed. it truly is better in all probability than better terrestrial involvement. ask your self those questions. a million. Is it plausible that the U. S. by potential of it is quite some administration in the course of the last 60 years ought to safeguard one of those secret? 2. If better terrestrials were travelling the earth, and we own the skill to shoot them down, as many of the conspricy theories surgest. Why isn't there better roswellesque insidents stated? 3. life like causes exist for why a plausible conceal up ought to exist. in spite of the indisputable fact that, what may an E.T. ought to attain by technique of hiding existance from a technologically inferior earth? 4. may it no longer make experience that the U. S. authorities among others, helped to perpetuate the alien deliver delusion? A delusion that supplies them the flexibility to behaviour clandestine activities, and performance the catagorised as mere alien deliver sightings?

I don't think it would have any impact on the world religions. If anything, it would only further confirm the Existance Of God, especially, if it turns out the alians have their own form of religions & religious worship on their own planet(s).

For the religions that don't believe in aliens they would have to look at a whole different view point and change their beliefs.

Some religious zealots would worship the aliens as Gods. Others would call them demons and try to kill them.

Basically, you'd get global anarchy.

In my opinion it shouldn't impact Christianity at all. God never said we were His only creation and no one ever said Christ died just for the ppl of earth.
