The fae are all around you. What you need to do is change the way you perceive things. Sit somewhere in nature and calmly meditate with eyes closed. When you feel change happen open your eyes. If they want you to see them that's when it will happen. The fae are shy so don't be upset about not seeing them. Very few people do and know that is what they are seeing. They may appear to you in various ways. I have one who comes to me in the form of rainbows. She is one of my spirit guides and lets me know if I'm thinking correctly on an issue. The first time she came to me was in a dream, where she told me how to know if she was around. Good luck to you, but remember not all the fae are pleasant. Some of them can be very nasty little creatures, so be careful.

Step into a faery ring.
But why would you want to do such a thing? They're tricksters whose main form of amusement involves tormenting humans, at least according to all the Irish folklore I've read. No encounter with a faery turned out well.

Go to a calm place with lots of flowers. Each flower has its own fairie. Sit quietly, find your center and meditate. They will only come if you are calm and awaiting them. They like it if you build them little houses that look natural and the furniture is cool. Build it out of twigs and flower petals for the seats and backs. Make sure they have fresh water daily. Take care of them and they will reveal themselves to you.

It is said if you sit under a hedge of elder on Midsummer Eve (June 24?), You will see the king of the elves and his court.
It is also said you may attract fairies to your garden if you plant the flowers they like. Some of them are cowslips, larkspur, lilies of the valley, roses, hollyhocks, foxglove, and especially blue morning glories.

Seriously I have, regrettably, never met a pixie type fairy so sorry I cannot help you.
Good luck in your quest, There are many less noble goals and searches people obscess and devote time to.

bake little cakes and sit in a field of flowers.. set the cakes on the ground(or a tray if you'd prefer) and meditate.. you have to get some kind of dust from those New Age shops that help you see the fairies.. this will help.. be gentle
