...the people and religions (or lack thereof) that they insult and spread hate about?

Too often I would think not. Often they only know a thing or two they've heard. Thats one of the reasons I want to start studying religions, is that if i say I don't believe in someting I want to have a reason why.

Therein lies the problem. You actually think there's some kind of hidden truth in any religion, the revelation of which will somehow change the heart and mind of the heathen atheists. "If they only knew about whatever-ism they would surely see the light!"

But none of the "ism's" are of any real consequence. There is only truth.

What you believe doesn't matter. All that does matter is finding out the truth. The truth about the world around us, the truth about the stars, the truth about atoms, molecules, genetics, the truth about how nature's processes produce the beauty around us.

Looking, learning, understanding, using the faculties that God gave us; this is the true nature of worship. To learn, to see, to understand; that's the real search for truth. God gave us these tools, our eyes, ears, our huge, beautiful brains, he gave us these things so that we can better know him. God is truth, truth is God. Find truth, find God.

Science, is the best way we as a species have discovered in which to find God. Everything else are "the old ways". Using religion to find truth is like using a sextant to find your way home. Why do it when you've got GPS?

I see a lot of hate on here about Jehovah's Witnesses and a LOT of stuff that is said about them are NOT true. Before anyone talks about another persons religion and beliefs they should FIRST go see for themselves or ask a person of that paticular faith questions instead of repeating what they hear or read from someone else. You don't ask a police officer the ins and outs about pediatric heart surgery or brain cancer, right?

Yes, I make fun of evolution all the time and I know quite alot about it. I also know it is a dumb theory... even if you don't want to believe in God.
