From now on, when we see a really stupid or mean question, from any side of the debate, let's not even acknwledge it with an answer. we will not do any good until we create a culture of civility.
as for all the, they started it, or, they won't stop insulting me. when is someone going to take the higher ground? I'm willing to do that if my fellow answerers are.

The new testament teaches a not at all unpleasant way of looking at life and others. Why is it that people calling themselves Christians in the U.S. are making lives miserable for those who won't adhere to their distortions of Jesus' messages? Where is the condemnation for the Reverand Phelps? Why are they tolerating and condoning and supporting hatred? Where is hatred, judgment and persecution put forth by Jesus as the right way to treat others?

I really would like to hear reasoned responses from intelligent people. I think the zealots will want to spew venom but will probably be challenged by what usurp might mean.

God save me from your followers.

People confuse creation with creation of the bible. If God were real, you wouldn't be called "believers". You'd be realists. You think illogical, therefore the bible is of Satan and so are your methods. Amen. LoL.

Every time I hear (usually, white) people describe a person on tv (usually dating shows like Next or Date my Mom), they say "he/she has blonde hair and blue eyes" and nothing else. The person could be as ugly as sin, but because of their eye and hair coloring, it's okay. WTF?

why dont people of all faiths join as one and try to conduct an interfaith dialogue? That way people can unite and try to find some common ground where we can all exist as one on this planet. All the religions in this world can be incorporated and dont you think its a good idea?

You are saved. You are not going to Hell. You have been redeemed by the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ. It doesn't matter if you believe it or have been told or whatever your faith is or isn't.

Okay, if he loves us all, he would make himself known to every one in the world. There are a lot of people who are supposedly going to hell, just because they don't believe in him. The concept of a god may seem like make believe to some and is that their fault? Just because they think of things happening in a scientific way. What about all of the religions other than christianity? Just because they were brought up to believe in that specific religion and that is all they know, how would they know to convert to christianity? What about atheists that supposedley reject him and won't follow him? Is it their fault that they don't believe in fairy tales like god and jesus. We don't know who would really reject god, because the people who you think are rejecting god would most likely reconsider if god came down and was evident to every one in the world. If that happened we will see who really rejects god and if they choose to still go to hell then let them go!
