Since young I had an inexplicable attraction to some female frns. Usually close frns at first, then it moves onto the romantic side, sometimes I would think about going on dates..holding hands..heck even rather erotic fantasies and dreams (yes wet dreams..)
My problem is, I really want to stop thinking this way, it gets really heartbreaking.. cos
1)I live in an asian society, its not easy for myself to accept being lesbian, much less dare own up to parents/relatives/frns..
2)I had fessed up to 2 gals that I really liked (2 separate occasions of cos) but I got ignored/avoided etc, I am thankfull none of them told my family or like spread gossips etc...but it was very very very heartbreaking..I felt like a disease..
3)I find it gets in the way..I wan to keep my frns.. I dont want to keep thinking wildly about a frn..feel unbearable..then repeat 2) over and over again..
In short.. I just wan to stop having les thots!!! its making my mind crazy! How can I ever do it?

how many of you can say that? whether your tastes run from christian to buddhism to evolution, or even aliens. i'm not questioning anyone's beliefs. i consider myself pagan, but i can also admit that i might not be right in what i believe. we might all be way off. i'm curious to see who is open-minded(please list your religion as well). or are you so rigid in your choices that you'd rather fight?

do you think as a society we are becoming more open to different religions?
and
how many of you believe religion will contribute to the downfall of humanity?

My husband is an abusive alcoholic with no plans for change. What do I do??? I know that the Bible says there are 3 acceptable reasons for divorce:

The first reason is obvious—death of one of the individuals in the marriage. See Romans chapter 7, verse 2 (Romans 7:2).
The second reason is adultery or immorality on the part of one of the individuals (Matthew 5:31,32 19:9, and so forth).
The third reason appears in First Corinthians 7:12-16. Here Paul states that “if the unbeliever departs” the Christian is not “under bondage.”

As with all dictatorships, law and order in the Bible were indefensibly harsh. The Bible authorized that all the following people should be put to death:

* A rebellious and disrespectful son, or anyone who curses their parents. (Deuteronomy 21:18-21; Leviticus 20:9.)
* A bride who cannot prove that she is a virgin on her wedding night. (Deuteronomy 22:20-21)
* An adulterous wife and her lover (but not an adulterous husband). (Deuteronomy 22:22)
* Two lovers, if the woman was a virgin promised to be another man's wife. (Deuteronomy 22:23,24)
* A fighting man who accidentally kills a pregnant woman. (Exodus 21:22-24)
* Any Israelite who sells a fellow Israelite into slavery. (Deuteronomy 24:7)
* Sabbath-breakers (in this case, one collecting firewood on the Sabbath). (Numbers 15:32-36)
* Witches and spiritists. (Leviticus 20:27)
* Blasphemers of God. (Leviticus 24:16)
* Worshippers of other gods. (Deuteronomy 13:6-11)

And don't give those stupid arguments that men will rape them. They will soon get used to the sight. And don't claim you need clothes to be sexy. You can still put clothes back on when you want to appear sexy. Men and women deserve equal rights!!!!

The bible tells me so...

In the Old Testament: The Fourth Commandment itself acknowledges that people may own "manservants" and "maidservants." (Exodus 20:10.) Other laws state: "The slave is [the master's] property." (Exodus 21:20,21.) "If you buy a Hebrew servant..." (Exodus 21:2.)

In the New Testament: Paul commanded: "Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear." (Ephesians 6:5, a command repeated in 1 Timothy 6:1, Colossians 3:22, Titus 2:9, and 1 Peter 2:18,21.) Remember that Paul lived under the Roman Empire, whose slave system was one of the most terrible in history.

In the Gospels: Even Jesus used the master/slave analogy to describe God’s relationship to his followers. He went so far as to compare God to a master rightfully beating and torturing his disobedient slaves. (Matthew 18:23-35, Matthew 24:50-51, Luke 12:47). This is not the language of someone who opposes slavery as a great evil.

First, know that I don't hate gay people. What they do is their business, and it should stay behind doors. I don't proclaim what my wife and I do in our bedroom, and I don't care about what they do, either.
What I do care about is whats on TV nowadays, and our schools. It's fine to say don't hate ANY people, but not to teach my child that it's okay, or encourage it.
Apperently, in one elementary school, a book was read called king and king, about two princes falling in love. What?!!?
Why are we encouraging a mental illness in our society??

I gave birth to my fisrt daughter in March of 05. SInce then I have hated music video, all of them. The women in them are just about naked except for little pieces of material that barly cover there nipples and viginas. The butt is no longer left to the imagination all. With the way they have sex, I mean dance, you should be requierd to wear a condum to watch them. I hate for my daughter to watch videos because I don't want her to think that acting and dressing like that is okay.

he Code :
A Retrosexual man, no matter what the women insists, PAYS FOR THE
DATE.

A Retrosexual man opens doors for a lady. Even for the ones that fit
that term only because they are female.

A Retrosexual DEALS with IT, be it a flat tire, break-in into your
home, or a natural disaster, you DEAL WITH IT.

A Retrosexual not only eats red meat, he often kills it himself.

A Retrosexual doesn't worry about living to be 90. It's not how long
you live, but how well. If you're 90 years old and still g
cigars and drinking, I salute you. If you are still having sex, you
are a God.

A Retrosexual does not use more hair or skin products than a woman.
Women have several supermarket aisles of stuff. Retrosexuals need an
endcap (possibly 2 endcaps if you include shaving goods.)

A Retrosexual does not dress in clothes from Hot Topic when he's 30
years old.

why is the bible so full of hatred to women? Are all women going to hell?

The Bible’s treatment of women was abominable. Women not only had a submissive and inferior status to men, but they were considered chattel. (Genesis 3:16, Exodus 21:7-11, Numbers 30.) God set the monetary value of women at 50 to 66 percent of that of men. (Leviticus 27:3-7.) Women were to learn quietly and submissively from men, and were never to teach men or have authority over them. (1 Timothy 2:11,12.)

Double standards abounded. A wife found guilty of adultery was to be killed along with her lover. (Deuteronomy 22:22.) But, hypocritically, no law prevented a married man from carrying on with as many affairs as he pleased, as long as they were not with other men's wives. Likewise, prostitution was illegal for Jewish women. (Deuteronomy 23:17.) But there was no law forbidding foreign women to be prostitutes in Israel, or for Jewish men to frequent them — which was a common practice.
