And don't give those stupid arguments that men will rape them. They will soon get used to the sight. And don't claim you need clothes to be sexy. You can still put clothes back on when you want to appear sexy. Men and women deserve equal rights!!!!

That's like saying women deserve to have a penis...
Our bodies are just different. Your parents should have taught you that.

Society has the right to define what public behavior is acceptable and what behavior is not acceptable. Such is the case here. The subject of this law is decency, not human rights.

A law aimed toward women would violate the "Equal Protection" clause (# 14) of the Constitution if, for example, it required that women must wear burquas and men may wear whatever they wish. This would be viewed as a decency issue if America was an overwhelmingly muslim nation, but, thank God, we are not.

If so, then it's a crime in just about every other country in the world too. One wonders why you're singling out the USA for criticism regarding this issue.

The USA is a democracy, and as in every democracy, the people make the laws. (This may be becoming less true in reality, with activist leftist judges legislating from the bench more often these days, but that's another story for another time.)

As such, the people's will -- which is that women running around with bare breasts in public shouldn't be allowed -- should prevail.

Also, your argument totally ignores children, who will surely be affected by seeing bare breasts all over the place.

Equal rights with men, and being men are two different things.

We're made differently and in some respects will never be equal in the sense of interchangeable.

We have equal value. Equal representation under the law. Equal ability to vote, buy and sell properties, etc....

Equality under the law does not mean that our brain chemistry becomes like a man's. We're different. Our breasts are part of our sexuality, and so they are covered for the sake of decency. That doesn't change my equality one bit. Frankly, I think men should wear shirts, too.

I love men, but I wouldn't want to be one. It doesn't offend me or make me feel slighted in any way to keep my shirt on.

I do fight for a woman's right to breastfeed her child (discreetly) in public. I don't think she has the right to disrobe in the mall and make a public spectacle of it, but there are some who are offended by women breastfeeding in public in the special tops that are made for breastfeeding. I don't get how people are offended by that. Really, nothing shows, it's just the idea of it.

You would think so, but every law has some sort of loophole just not all of them work in everyone's favor. Breasts were not created to be a sexual object, instead they were intended to nourish our young a task that more people refuse to do in this date because it has been too sexualized and too many states do not protect a womans right to provide the best possible nourishment for their young.

True. I do not however want to look at other women's breast and that is my right. I do not want to be around smokers and that is my right. Tolerance is the answer. Insisting on something just to make yourself happy is not the best thing as a whole. Try to think on a higher level.

It is wrong for woman to have to cover there breasts, but they should certainly be allowed to cover them if they want. As to the comment by Unicorn Bananas I think women do need a penis, just not permanently attached of course. Thank you for this question.

I think that it is more of a safety issue.

If I was driving my car down the street and saw a woman or several women walking on the sidewalk with no tops on, then I would get into a car accident.

That is simply what I believe the issue is.

by now, it isn;t a crime to make women cover their breast, but it would be a crime if women would expose their breast in the wrong places-indecent exposure, vagrancy, public scandal or exhibitionism be imposed. And why would women show off their breast publicly? It isn't fashionable, and women knows that man who sees a woman sexually aggressive tends to shun them instead of being attracted to it.
If you really want to see topless women around your corners, ask your lawmaker to require all women above 50 be topless.

That is one of the dumbest things I have read in a long time.

Usually the amount of clothing a woman wears reflects the amount of brains that are in her head.

The thing I really find ironic is that women like to dress provocatively (or not dress in your case) ...and then get pissed when some older (or old) man hits on them.

No it is not a crime, maybe you meant to ask if it should be a crime. I would say that the value of the female breast is overplayed but then again some people see them as a working part.
