and stole from everyone. This is what brought about the Protestant Revoltution. People wanted to break away from a church that was evil and out to get things for itself.

Another American Independence Day (the Fourth of July) is on us; I'm wondering what you think of the day's meaning...or, if it is thought about at all!

Thanks much.

From my last question "do you believe in God or do you really know Him," I pose this next question.
The Bible says that Enoch walked with God. Yet, Enoch was translated to heaven, for God took him. Enoch wanted to be with God so much that God brought him "up close and personal."
Are there any Christians who seek this type of fellowship with God? Or are you satisfied with your current relationship with Him?

I see people smoking in the busstop shelters when it says no smoking by city ordinance, they drink at them too although it is posted as punishable by 500 dollars. They eat on the bus, they climb on stuff at the laundramat, they cross the street when it says do not walk, etc. It seems people disregard rules. They are there for a reason but everyone seems to think they don't have to obey them. They break in the security gates so they don't have to buy a card to get in, play loud music at 3 am, etc.

I think people have lost their sense of control and respect

The very first Supreme Court justice, John Jay, said: "Americans should select and prefer Christians as their rulers."
How then, have we gotten to the point that everything we have done for 220 years in this country is now suddnly wrong and unconstitutional?
