From my last question "do you believe in God or do you really know Him," I pose this next question.
The Bible says that Enoch walked with God. Yet, Enoch was translated to heaven, for God took him. Enoch wanted to be with God so much that God brought him "up close and personal."
Are there any Christians who seek this type of fellowship with God? Or are you satisfied with your current relationship with Him?

I would love to have that kind of relationship with God. Wouldn't you?

God translated (took up to heaven) Enoch, Elijah and maybe Moses because they became as close to perfection as they possibly could while on earth. The phrase 'walked with God' means he had faith in God and put his whole life in God's hands.

If all it takes to get to heaven is to wish really hard to be with God, then why all the bother with Christianity and being saved and accepting sweet Jesus? Enoch knew none of these things, yet he was taken up to heaven anyway...?? I guess God makes exceptions to his own rules. In this case, Jesus is the ONLY way to get to heaven, unless your name is Enoch and you really, really want to be with God.

My blessed hope is seeing Jesus Christ. Whether that happens because I'm taken in the Rapture or if I die first is inconsequential to me. Since I want, with all my heart, to see Jesus, I take up my cross daily, follow His commandments, and seek fellowship with Him through daily Bible reading and prayer. I am satisfied with my current relationship with Him because of this. Whenever I'm unable to do any of these things, I'm miserable.

Sure. But this isn't those times. Although you can have an awesome relationship, just like Enoch, you cannot be translated by yourself. :)

First of all, Enoch never was taking to heaven. For Jesus who was in the beginning with God himself said at John 3:13, that up to his day it was true that ‘no man had ascended into heaven,’ not even Elijah.
Only by means of Jesus’ death was a new and living way to get to heaven opened up. Jesus has become “the one who is first in all things,” including entrance into heaven.—Col. 1:18; Heb. 10:20.

Enoch as a prophet of Jehovah foretold God’s coming with his myriads of angels to execute judgment against the ungodly. (Jude 14, 15) Persecution was likely brought against him because of his prophesying. However, God did not permit his opposers to kill Enoch. Instead God “took him,” evidently meaning that He cut short Enoch’s life at an age far below that of most of his contemporaries. It appears that, as in the case of Moses’ body, Jehovah disposed of Enoch’s body, for “he was nowhere to be found.”—Heb. 11:5; Deut. 34:5, 6; Jude 9.
More than that, the apostle Paul, in Hebrews, chapter 11, discusses such faithful ones as Enoch, Noah and Abraham. In verses 39 & 40 of this chapter, Paul contrasts the men of faith before the Christian congregation with those who, like himself, were a part of it: “And yet all these, although they had witness borne to them through their faith, did not get the fulfillment of the promise, as God foresaw something better for us, in order that they might not be made perfect apart from us.”
Paul, after naming Enoch and other ancient faithful witnesses of God, makes clear in saying: “In faith all these died, although they did not get the fulfillment of the promises, but they saw them afar off and welcomed them and publicly declared that they were strangers and temporary residents in the land.” (Heb. 11:13)
These men knew that their reward was far in the future. The prophets of old knew that their Messianic prophecies did not apply to themselves, but had fulfillment later on. Hence, the apostle Peter says to those who are footstep followers of Jesus Christ the heavenly Forerunner. —1 Pet. 1:10-12.

Christanity isnt a relgion its a relationship. Part of it is want ing to darw closer to God. No one ca ever reach the level where he can say Im perfect, i Dont sin anymore. If you really Christian you should never be satisfied with you relationship. You should have a disire to grow deeper.

If an individual Christian does not have a good relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ they should continue to follow the straight and narrow path.

Not the most interesting question but it works for my soap box.

I'm never satisfied with ,there is no end to God,there is so much more of him to learn about, but my love for him gets stronger and stronger each day.IF YOU DRAW CLOSE TO HIM,HE WILL DRAW CLOSE TO YOU....and wouldn't leave you.I want to be like Abraham was.GOD said,"He was his friend" .You have to serve him like he wants you to.NOT how you find it fitting for your life !!
