Your brain is clay
What's going on?
You picked up a bible
And now you're gone

It's in your head [x3]
FILLER
You call it religion
You're full of ****
FILLER

*a song by Ian Mackaye (Minor Threat). He was 'straight edge' (no drugs/alcohol, no sex)

well thanks for the answers...I only asked cause the song was fun to listen to after I left the church. I was treated horrible by fundamntalists jerks, and I felt 'someone feels like I do about religion'.
* I don't follow the SxE philosophy, just like the song.

I don't know. I can't think clearly until I've had some jello shooters that I made.

This looks like someone that is anti-religion or anti-cult.

the brain being clay means its easy to mold your thoughts.
someone remolded it to something else and its staying that way. picking up the bible just means you gave into the religion and now you're life is dedicated to it. And the chorus is just saying that religion is something to keep your mind occupied. Its a filler.

It seems like the writer thinks that the bible and religion are a form of brainwashing. Not true. Oh well, thank goodness we live in a free country!

Seems like a very personal statement to me. We all have our moments in which we are so absorbed in our own little world other people simply cannot follow us.

Sounds like one of these moments of the person who wrote this.

God says He is the the potter and we are the clay. He molds us into what he desires for us to be. As for that second part, I think that person needs help.

If these lyrics DO mean anything to you, there may be a problem. My best friend is straightedge and he's a wierdo too.

I'm not exactly sure what he means.... is he saying religion is **** or stupid? Or that you shouldn't believe a religion because it isn't true?
