The JW recieve their direction from The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society headquarted in New York. This organization claims to be the channel of communication from God to His people, that it represents Jesus on earth, and that you cannot find scriptural guidance outside of this organization. Here are some quotes:
" It should be expected that the Lord would have a means of communication to His people here on earth, and He has clearly shown that the magazine The Watchtower is used for that purpose" 1939 Yearbook of JW.
"We all need help to understand the bible, and we cannot find the scriptural guidance we need outside the faithful and discreet slave organization" 1981, The Watchtower
"From time to time their have been people, who like satan, have adopted an independant attitude...they say that it is sufficient to read the bible exclusively alone or in small groups at home." 1981 The watchtower
Do you have any comments on this?
Is it true, does the watchtower control you?

Ok when slavery was still ok and slave owners had slave, these slave owners were also religious, maybe christians. When they died i doubt they repented for having slaves or treating their slaves the way they did. So did the slave owners go to heaven?

If not, explain sura 4:34

Men have authority over women because God has made the one superior to the other, and because they spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient. They guard their unseen parts because God has guarded them. As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and forsake them in beds apart, and beat them. Then if they obey you, take no further action against them. Surely God is high, supreme.

If yes, how can you claim Islam supports gender equality?

after all, questions is what its all about

and you cant have an answer without a question, its the chicken and egg syndrome, the questions came first, right?

plus, i ask many questions, but get few answers.

ok, i'm rambling now a bit aren't i?

anyway, who will back my campaign to change it to yahoo questions?

there is strength in numbers, you know, they must comply.

resistance is futile!

hand off the food u eat, u have no right to eat it.

take off ur eyes and give it to the creator, u have no right to use them.

u have no right to use ur legs, arms, liver, orgins.

u don't even have the right to breath His air or even walk on His earth.

Ok here goes, I'm a single woman and before you start to feel sorry for me don't because I love it. I like sole control of the remote control, I love having a bed to myself without somebody snoring in my ear or shoving his p**** in my back at 6am in the morning. The only thing I do miss is the sex. So is it wrong to have 2 or 3 men on call, who I can ring, tie them to a bed, smuther them in ice cream and abuse until my hearts content and after I've finished kick them out? (not at the same time of course) A male friend of mine said men don't like to be used they want to do the using. What do you think?

I've heard plenty of people claim that homosexuality is a choice and that no one is born with it. If that's true, then gay people can choose to be straight and not be harassed and harangued. I told my friend this, and he is interested in living a lifestyle that does not prompt men with little brains to beat him up.

The problem is that he doesn't remember how he chose to be gay. He can't even remember when he made the choice. I thought that if I could help him remember how he chose his sexual orientation, then he can choose to be straight.

So, what steps did you take when you chose to be gay, straight, or bi? Was it a gradual change, or did you do it in a heartbeat?

I am trying to choose to be gay for a day so I can choose to be straight again and document the process. But I can't do it. No matter how hard I try, I cannot be turned on by Brad Pitt, and I cannot stop fantasizing about Kate Winslet. So, how do you do it?

I'm single. My sibling is married. I like her husband and his family. But the general trend is that they same to want to combine holidays with my folks and his. Most recently was Fathers day. I decided to just take my father to breakfast because I did not want to attend a fathers day cook out with with my folks and his there. I like them - and we are nice to each other. I just don't like to be on stage and I am shy.

I don't mind something big like Christmas or Easter - but I don't want to be roped in to a bunch of small holidays and endless cook outs and things like that.

Do you think I'm being selfish?

Also - what reasons would you give for not going to these events?

I am in my very early 20's and I have only ever been with one person. One of my parents has physically hurt me and so now I live w/ my boyfriend. I have been in school mainly-- because I am lucky enough to have a dad who helps me out and financial assistance...and I just RECENTLY moved in w/ my b/f...and I intend on getting a job very very soon. I just feel like I'm recovering from the aweful situation that was going on back home. I am just worried that I'm being a bad person by living w/ my boyfriend. I love him more than anything in the world and we have already discussed getting engaged. We just want to make sure that everything is right w/ money, jobs, etc when we do. More so him, than me really. I want to be a good person and sometimes ppl (who didnt know the situation back home) throw out little comments like "oh living in sin..that's good!" and it makes me feel bad.. i've never told on my parent..i dont want to live the party lifestyle w/ my friends-am i a bad person?

I have been divorced for almost a year from my husband. He was physically abusive, he was sleeping around on me, and was constantly drunk. My pastor agreed that these were grounds for a divorce and that I was not sinning. He also discussed remarriage. I am only 25 and have two little kids.

Recently I began dating. I have met a WONDERFUL man and he is meshing well with my family. He is also divorced, he wife was sleeping around on him. He is 35.

We have talked about marriage, but we are working together to make sure that this is the best for both of us. We are very passionate towards each other, we love each other very much. Is it a sin to have sex out of marriage if you are getting RE-married? I was a virgin with my husband, but I am not sure what the rules are once your divorced. Any wisdom? Thank you so much. God Bless you all!

My lease is up this month and I have found this fabulous place through a relative, its more money but for the place I think it’s an awesome price for it.

Last night I had 2 dreams next to each other.

1)That during my move I somehow come to own this super-sized amore that needs 8 people to move… so I need to hire a moving company.

2)That my new place is haunted! The owners are very superstitious and scarred of the ghost, when I was moving… I found out about the ghost (male) because I sensed him somehow. He acknowledged my presence, I don’t know whether he likes me or not (no malice felt… but uncertain) and the owners basically said good luck to me… weird!

Should I move?

Here are some scriptures to know if you have the true religion:
Matthew 7:17" Likewise every good tree produces fine fruit, but every rotten tree produces worthless fruit".
John 13:35"By this all will know that you are my disciples, if youhave love among yourselves.”
Matthew 24:14"And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come"
Romans 10:13,14" For “everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.” 14 However, how will they call on him in whom they have not put faith? How, in turn, will they put faith in him of whom they have not heard? How, in turn, will they hear without someone to preach?"
