The ministry of education in australia recently stated that all the islamic schools in australia are producing very low grades among muslim students.
is islam against education?

Low grades aren't just students, it's teachers too. Perhaps these schools are not paid as well as other schools and therefore higher "lesser" employees. You get what you pay for.

Islam against education? That is not a logical conclusion. I would think it has more to do with socio-economic conditions among Muslim immigrants to AU rather than the religion they practice.

Muslim immigrants to America go to college at a higher rate than the average American and generally make more money too.

Ill bet the class in Bomb preparation and Hatred of everything not islamic is very successful though.
Who needs reading or writing or job skills when the goal is to kill yourself for the cause.

ISlam is against education but so is christianity. thats why i choose neither path.

Sounds like the "keep 'em stupid" attitude of most religious schools ... heck .. can't have them smart if you want them in the fold .. now can you?
