I am particulary interested in learning Arabic in Syria. Thats absolutely my dream! What is the most economic and the easiest way of living abroad without speaking their language? What strategy do I need to follow (like how should I find and apply a job) to survive there while living?

The bible sets out absolutes in terms of what is right and what is wrong. On the other side you have relativism which says that its not a sin unless it hurts another person and they view it as a sin. When I think of the way christians act toward gays I would say that it hurts them, therefore a sin. Christians say a gay couple is sining even when they are doing the opposite of hurting anyone and in fact loving them. So christians think that loving someone can be a sin while hurting someone is Ok? Is the bible really a good guide to even follow? How do you explain it when they conflict?

So christians think its ok to hurt someone if the bible says that they sined

Seems sad, but true. When you're dead you're dead right? Nothing has ever been proven to exist after death I think. So why bother with anything when it all ends up tragic

I've done a lot of looking into Dr Kent Hovind's site: www.drdino.com even watched his lectures and debates. Just curious on what any of you think. Personally, I'm going with 6,000-10,000 years...

This question is for Christians who love hiding God's Word in their hearts as much as I do. Right now I am memorizing verses, but eventually, I would like to graduate to portions of Scripture.

The passage I want to commit to memory is either Matthew 6:19-34 or Luke 12:22-33. I like the way both passages of Scripture are worded, but I'm just not sure which one I should memorize since they are almost alike in content. I guess it's a matter of personal choice (I'm leaning towards Matthew), but would be interested in what you think. Thanks!

Also, I am Googling scripture topics lists to get ideas for future verses to memorize. I came upon a site called Pat's Place, and on it, she has a list of topics for scripture memory. I copied and pasted it into a text box and printed it up for my own use. However, I'm just wondering if, since the site is copyrighted, does that include her particular list of topics for scripture memory? I looked, but did not see where I could write for permission.

When he told His church leaders generally (and Peter specifically) that anything they bound on earth would be bound in heaven, that they had the power to forgive men's sins and any they forgave would be forgiven and any they retained would be retained? And finally what did He mean when he gave Peter the keys to the kingdom of heaven?

I'm watching the show COPS on TV and everytime they make a bust (usually some hardcore street criminal) a herd of cops all try to lecture him about how crime is bad and how he should turn his life around. DUH! how can these idiots be so naive?

Do they honestly believe that the inner city is a happy place to be? Don't they realize these criminals HAVE NOTHING AND NEVER HAVE in their whole lives?
