is it ok to pick and choose what parts or the bible we should follow? or should we follow it all??? seriously all or nothing right??

The whole concept of eternal hell does not make sense to me on a karmic level. Even according to the Old Testament it is an eye of and eye and a tooth for a tooth, not a hand for a fingernail and a chopping up of the body into bits for ever and ever, even if someone in some life did commit a grave crime such as dismemberment. I know what is going to be said that all our righteous acts are like menstrual rags to God & that in comparison to God's infinite Goodness our sin is worth infinite punishment. This does not pan out either. God cannot judge us up to his/her standard since we are not God. Only God can judge God by God's standards. Why do we treat adults differently in the legal system than juveniles? This is because we inherently know that children as less culpable since they have not reached our level yet. The best of physical world mirrors the spiritual. If we would not eternally torture our own children for some misdeed how much more would one who is infinitely kind do likewise.

What was it the caused the white man to think himself better than the black man when he brought them to America to use as slaves? AND, even though tons of time has passed since then, why do SOME (not all)of the white race still hold on to those notions just as much as SOME (not all) of the black race still hate the white race for something done so long ago but have nothing to do with it now?


This question is not to say that I don't see or think that the racism in all the other races is less important, it's just that I wanted to focus on these two races with this question.

We live in base housing (military) and two of my female neighbors tan in the driveway. Not in a one piece swimsuit either, but in a two piece with the top undone. Why O' why would anyone do this? I think it is SO ghetto. Get some class and tan in the privacy of your own backyard...

I am trying to understand the full rational for the different sides of the debate, so please include the following in your answer:

1. When you believe the zygot/embryo/fetus/baby becomes its own organism, seperate from that of its mother and why you chose that time.

2. When would an abortion be acceptable in your opinion? (mother incapable of raising child, child has abnormality, rape, incest, could kill mother, etc.)

it looks like wicca is a nice religin and all, but i do see a darker side to it, ive been studying for a few years now,and i did some magick too.but the more i read books on withcraft,the more i see the strange simalaritys wicca has with satanism,it makes me wonder. like in the book of satan,it says
harm none,do as ye will..so does the wiccans reed,both religons use the pentagram,swords,etc. im not saying all wiccans are conspiriters. i guess some do work with the devil,and others dont.
just like some of the biggest catholic prist's in the usa belong to the golden dawn. a satan based group. so the devil is everywhere
Even in GOD's church. i see wiccans and magicians at catholic church's quit often.and ives seen christians in wicca groups and meetings.so i guess it just depends on the person. good&evil in all of us. some more,some less.

I first heard about the "bible codes" on Oprah. Somebody has said that you can decipher the bible by spelling out somebody's name. By spelling out a persons name a certain way in the bible, you can fortell the future of that person. Is this true? Where did it come from? I'm just curious. Thank you.
