do tarot cards really work?

i just bought some tarot cards from a bookstore today for $8.99. do they really work? how do you take the information each card supplies?

I have some Tarot cards and I just starting using them about 2 years ago. Although, I don't center my life around, the cards helps me to make some decisions and to help others sometimes. I don't abuse them or pond them off on anybody, I simply keep it as fun and games.

I believe they work somehow. I don't know how. Some may cite different reasons for this. Some say it is our subconscious mind. Others may say it is higher spirits. I don't know.

Some prefer the standard Ryderwaite cards, but there are many varieties on the market.

There are many books on tarot reading. Just check any good library.

I personally think the ryderwaite cards are kind of spooky.

When you play the cards let the cards tell you what they want to tell you. The cards may know more of what is going on then what you are aware.

I like to use tarot software and that has worked for me.

However, I have found the answers the cards give are not always adequate for my needs. Perhaps that's just me.

An alternative is to simply get in touch with our higher intelligence and the higher intelligence of creation through prayer, meditation and good works.

They are instruments for your own subsscience, so the matter is not the cards, but your own spirit, you need to be able to establish a "connection" to the cards, so your subconscience can influence the drawing process and then help you find out what you are being told. Try out various reading patterns, try also to find your own card meanings, see if you are satisfied, if not, just stop doing it, it's not so bad.

Yes i believe they do work. I used to do them when i was younger and it's scary how much they can tell you. The reason i stopped was i "saw" the death of a loved one in the cards and 2 weeks later my grandmother died. So be prepared to know things that might upset you.

Yeah I think they work. Done it a few times and what I have interpreted from them have come true. Father Passing, new child to be born, etc. etc. Kinda weird and different but the truth is hidden in them.
